| The game which second-most needed an HD rerelease in Nintendo's catalogue (according to me) gets one. Can't say how chuffed I am about this, even if it was in no way surprising. Comes with an amiibo and a soundtrack CD in the special edition. That latter might be enough to sell it to me, much though I hate special editions normally. |

| I hope it isn't just a release with better textures. I'd like to see some quality of life changes like in WWHD. |

Thing is, in WWHD there were gameplay problems that obviously needed sorting. I can't think of any such in TP apart from somewhat dodgy motion controls, which the Gamepad's use will take care of; although I'm sure others will disagree. The shadow bugs weren't always great, I suppose. A few more things could be scattered around Hyrule Field. And they could add in an extra sidequest or two. That's my lot, though, pretty much. Also when you said "quality of life", I thought you meant implementing health-boosting features. Cycle on your exercise bike to make Epona run faster! |

| There's no obvious flaws, but no game's perfect - there's bound to be something a trained game designer could spot and tweak to make the game more enjoyable. I suppose the main flaw was that it was a little bit ugly, but that's being solved through it being an HD remake anyway. |

| The lack of side activities was definitely the biggest problem with TP, would definitely be nice to have more. |

| The team behind this did Mass Effect 3 & Deus Ex on Wii U, which are fairly decent ports on the Wii U. |

| So was that not HD footage that was shown then? If it was HD then it looks to be a poor remaster & it was only made to look even worse when they done that transition into the wii U zelda footage. |

| The Wolf Link amiibo may tempt me into amiibi again... The game itself? As I've still not beaten it - mas reckons I'm halfway through? - I cannot say. What I will say is that it belongs to the strand of super-serious Zeldas that I normally dislike (Ocarina being the first). Time (ha) will tell. |

| That was the HD version shown Jas, I did say elsewhere that it could be a quick HD version done and when I watched the direct back how they announced it was here's the eShop version coming but you get this limited edition at retail if you wish. |

I actually agree with you there, Jas. Maybe it was the quality of my stream, but it didn't seem that much prettier to me. Hopefully they'll buff it up further between now and March. |

| So far, all of the Zelda rereleases have had a positive set of changes to go with the graphical polish. I'm sure this will also do so (although, to be honest, just having a re-release puts it into "shut up and take my money" territory - even if they just gave Link a new hat!)
But I agree that I don't think what they showed looked that different. Maybe a little less "bloom"-y. |

| It's all about the amiibo support now in twilight princess, sod graphics. |

| People complaining that it just looks like the textures got a slight upgrade when that is exactly what the vast majority of HD rereleases are. Looks alright to me.
I have no interest in the amiibo though - wolf Link was unnecessary and not a fun part of the game, and midna still has a terrible design. |

| Comparssion video but what OR is saying is true just look at Blue Point's PS2 to PS3 games and there the best in the business for porting over, it's just the games aesthetics in the first place is why it looks like it does. |

| TP mostly needed a visual upgrade anyway... but not just textures. It still looks pretty ugly to me, sadly. I think that the game would benefit from looking a bit like an HD version of MM - a dark Zelda that didn't sacrifice colour for darkness at all. |

| But back in the day that's what people wanted though after the kiddy wind waker.
Some bit's pointed out the link is left handed that it's the game cube version having the HD treatment and this also means TP will appear / ported on 3 Nintendo Generations in a row.
Also as the Wolf Link amiibo will work with Zelda U does that mean Zelda U is in the same timeline as TP. |

| Kiddy wind Waker??
Anyway I'm a tad excited for this, I really like the look of the Amiibo and have been wanting to go through TP again but wanted to do it on the Cube |

| I love Wind Waker & the art style but I know my older friends that grew up on Zelda totally demises it because it looks kiddy and I remember up roar back in the day as well but now has become one of the most loved Zelda's. |

Sure is 2004 in here. Looking at that comparison video, I think the underwhelming feeling I got from that is down to TP's art style being a bit naff as opposed to any real lack of texture upgrading. It's obviously there - a cursory glance at Zant and Castle Town confirm it - but it's still not blowing me away compared to Wind Waker's gorgeous lighting upgrades in its HD version. |

| Getting a few more bright colours in would be best for me... although the sombre tone might suffer. The Zelda games I grew up on made riotous use of colour. |

| Balla mentioned Majora's Mask - arguably the most sombre Zelda whilst still maintaining a good colour palette. |

| The uproar was only because of the fact that nobody likes change, wouldn't say "kiddy" just because it was cel shaded |

| But people did, like I said I never had a issue with wind waker as wasn't a thing to me but people that it was a thing acted like a bunch of kids towards wind waker.
Then we got twilight because of that which now even in HD looks old because of the art style. |
