Forgotten Gems Empty
PostSubject: Forgotten Gems    Forgotten Gems EmptySun 14 Aug 2016 - 17:12

I've just picked up a N64 again and all ready got 3 games for the system 1080, Goldeneye and Wave Race. I've not had a N64 for a good few years but when I did I had 40+ games but mainly things like SM64, MK64, OoT, MM, Banjo.

Basically the norm for the system, and one of the reason I sold the system I did have was it wasn't getting any use as why play OoT on it when I can play OoT3D or even the GameCube port and so on part from the odd ones like Goldeneye which remain on the system or at the time proper SM64 but I can but it for much less then a cart on Wii U VC if I want to play it.

As their has been chat about NGamer and older versions on the magazine which some of you may have or maybe you're just big N64 fans, is their games on the system not ported, which don't have a successor on the system worth playing, a sort of hidden gem.

This is me of course asking about the N64 but maybe you want to find a new game on Dreamcast for instance as well.

A game that still holds up is Blast Corps. Superb game that I guess was on Rare Replay, but plays great on the N64. Another would be Excitebike 64 which was brilliant but I feel overlooked.

I will have to checkout Excitebike 64 as that is one I've not played.

Jet Force Gemini, I guess, is in the same camp as Blast Corps. Pilotwings 64 has yet to come to any VC, as well. If you can find them cheaply, either Pokémon Stadium is a good bit of minigame fun. Happy hunting! Thumbs Up!

I was gonna say Piltowings 64 as that seems to have disappeared from the public consciousness, but you're already on that.

Can I get a hell yeah for SNOWBOARD KIDS?

Also, I'd say The New Tetris might be the best tetris.
