When done right wii remote was miles better for fps games as you could make movements or shots you just can't do with analogue sticks, for example I played a lot of Modern warfare reflex on wii but when I tried the other nontendo versions I was noticeably worse off because of the standard controls.

Wii remote is essentially keyboard & mouse but in a comfortable console setting & I wish it was the norm for all fps games.

I played some FPSs on Wii and I found it to be Pish due to the controls as I didn't find it comfortable to play, I do agree if you could master it, you could be as good as someone using a mouse and keyboard.
