| So, it's the night before the cut-off and I've only received six ballots in so far. At this stage, I think I'm going to extend the deadline as double digits is usually the benchmark for a solid vote. Your new deadline is Sunday the 22nd, but it does come with the caveat of the results not commencing until the following Sunday as I'll be a bit busy until then. So, there's that. No excuses now folks - you know who you are. |

| Formatting goes out the window when it comes to democracy. Also, I didn't realise how awkward it looked until you pointed it out. It stays, for posterity. |

| Aye, come on gents. It's not like we've had a deluge of voting threads this past year. This has been, in past years, a highlight of the entire year. Don't make it a damp squib. |

| I'll send mine tomorrow by which I mean this morning. It won't be very wordy because I'm busy with deadlines among other things. But rest assured it's coming. |

| Thanks to everyone who's fired over a ballot - much appreciated! We're now up to 12 ballots total, so I'm considering that a good 'un.
If you've not sent one over, then there is still time! The cut-off won't be until the clock strikes midnight tonight, so if you're keen to shower praise and adulation on your fellow forumites, then fire me a PM before then with your votes. |

| Let the celebrations commence! IT'S THE FOURTH ANNUAL GNAMER FORUM AWARDS!We're coming to you live and in living colour, not from the lavishly decorated room above, but rather from my dimly lit bedroom on a cold winter's night in Scotland. But, that doesn't take away from the grandeur of these awards, not by any stretch! I always enjoy reading the praise bestowed upon you fine folks by you fine folks, and it's my pleasure to begin sharing the love around and kicking these awards off in style. Let's rock! The Peppy Hare Award for Contributor of the Year (11 votes total)Without these fine folks, this place would likely be full of nothing but tumbleweed and an occasional snack review. But, thanks to the tireless efforts of our esteemed contributors, we've had heaps of chat and loads of #content to enjoy in 2016. Let's a-go! - In third place...:
=JayMoyles ( one vote) "The award will go to JayMoyles as things have been tried be it twenty question (Silent Hill 4: The Room is the answer), the Wiki game (I like to go back this) and taking the admin reigns." =gjones ( one vote) "It’s been a good year for the big man." =Muss ( one vote) "One of the newer forumites but feels like one of the old guard, always has something good to say when he contributes."
- Second place goes to...:
Drunkalilly ( two votes) "Honestly I'm going on gut feel rather than going back through all the year's posts. If we included Gintendo work he'd definitely be Number 1 Contributor, but he started Pokédix and was one of the three people to carry that and WTP on, so he's worthy of my vote either way. " "Always ready to get involved and keep things flowing - including, but not limited to, alcohol. "
- And in first place...:
=Masofdas ( three votes) "There could be only one. Tireless in his efforts with his various threads to tell us all about gaming news and releases. I don't think the forum would have as much discussion as it does without him." "Predictable vote this, but the man masofdas times everything important like clockwork like." "Sometimes I'm not sure what he's saying. Sometimes he's wrong. Sometimes he's bashing the Scots. But make no mistake, masofdas deserves a shout for his commitment to putting out a well researched thread every month that chronicles what's on the gaming, and more recently entertainment in general, horizon. It's a really handy reference point for someone like me who doesn't follow release dates and something that's always worth checking out. Keep it up mate. " =Balladeer( three votes) "I just find it hilarious that, after dropping adminhood to spend less time on the forum, he’s been such a top poster. He even bought a PS3 so he could get involved in Nontendo chat. That’s commitment." "I’m going to go with Balladeer. While 2016 has been a pretty dreadful year for Nintendo games, Balla’s spirit and passion for Nintendo has kept the cause alive. With a long dead console, a void of magazines and arguably the smallest slice of the home console market ever, without Balla’s posts I think GNamer could have lost a lot of that Nintendo-ness that has carried through to the Switch reveal. If the Switch presentation in 2017 was the shot in the arm a site like this needed, Balla was there with the belt around the forum’s elbow, tapping that vein of Nintendo blood." "Balladeer, a veritable pro at prose. Some of his puns take perhaps a while to fully register but they never fail to make me wince. Sometimes he'll even say something insightful and borderline educational and is, in my opinion, Gintendo's best writer. (I didn't write this under any kind of duress either.)"
- Thoughts from your host:
A first place tie! Shocking scenes, Jeff. Thank you very much to the individual who voted for me, and props to our two winners!
More to come tomorrow afternoon, so stay tuned! |

Did Balla write this about himself? Nice start to the awards. |

| The two most prolific posters come joint first, who'da thunk. Loving my picture also. Well done to my co-winner Masofdas, and thanks to those who voted for me. Some really nice comments there! Also I genuinely think that, were it not for the Switch, this might be the year I drop my post count: I've banned myself from using the forum at work, for one, and that other thing I keep banging on about for another. With the Switch coming out, mind, all bets are off! - The_Jaster wrote:

Wouldn't have used the word 'wince' if I had! |

| I was going to reply with my classic "Bit harsh"... but then I did some thinking. Donald Trump's been on the wrestling at least once. It could be said that Donald Trump is ruining everything at the moment. Therefore, and totally logically, the wrestling has ruined everything. |
