Nintendo Fanfiction Thread (NGamer/GNamer OTP!)

(That's "shipper speak" for "NGamer and GNamer are the one couple I would be most happy to see have romance and babies!")

The sub-forum description mentions fanfiction, and we don't have any. Time to remedy this!

We actually did quite a few collaborative fan fictions on the old NGamer forum, as Jay and Darunia will recall (among others): click the links below to read more!
The World Ends With Eleven (old forumite-based, finished)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Future (Zelda-based, finished)
Pokémon: Let Darkness Reign (Pokémon and old forumite-based, unfinished)
Mario (Mario-based, barely started)
Four Heroes (weird crossover thing, barely started)

Then I have my one to show off. That's right, just one: but split over two volumes. It's called The League of Legends (no relation), it's based on the SSB world, it's a bit old now, and it's long. It reads best in downloaded pdf format (link), but if you'd rather not download three and a half megabytes of Captain Falcon being an arrogant berk (and I won't blame you), it's also available here, on FanFiction.net, with a few formatting sacrifices.

Anyone else written any fanfiction? Anyone tried "shipping" GLaDOS and T.E.C. yet? The one thing I ask is that people don't write stories in the thread: put them where people can ignore them if they want!

I haven't written any fan-fiction, bar my contribution to our forum fiction. I did put up one of my short stories from a couple of years ago on WattPad, but it's completely terrible so I'd rather not share that. Fond memories of the forum fiction, especially TWEWE.

Jay, maybe a new forum fiction could be started?

I would absolutely love that, but I don't know if we have enough writers (or whether the writers have enough time). Amongst the contributors to the old stories, only me, Jay and Darunia have made the move, and I know Jay's busy with his doss university course.

If we could get Matty_the_Turner back on board (and/or Yamyum, BazaLink, Bridge Bandit, any of that lot) then I'd happily take another shot.

I don't know if anyone's likely to be interested in this, but eh - my book club are doing a fanfiction Secret Santa thing, where we all get given two characters to write about (we know not from whom).  I got Waluigi and Slowpoke.  If there's any curiosity as to what the heck Waluigi and a Slowpoke would do together (they will not be having sex), I'll bung a link to it when it goes live.

The only other Ninty-relevant pairing was Phoenix Wright and Hannibal Lecter.

I'd be into it.

Yes, that is a Pokemon/ The Matrix crossover fanfic written by yours truly when I was about 12 or so.

Brave man. I'm not showing anybody my first NaNo novel I wrote when I was 24, let alone anything else! Not until I'm a famous published author and can laugh.

(My favourite part is where the bloke accepts that these kids are from a parallel universe without asking any further questions. Sure, seems legit!)

Might writing for something like that would be appalling but I would give it a bash I'm always up for some forum based things.

Ha, I'm down. I've not written creatively for absolutely ages now but I'd love to give it a bash again.

I was going to suggest using this list for our random pairings as it seemed pretty comprehensive, but scrolling down I don't remember Popeye or 90s baseball player Ken Griffey Jr. as being most famous for being "Nintendo characters".

I understand Popeye due to historical importance for Nintendo.

You're right - I remember when Popeye burst into Nintendo HQ, forcibly fed Miyamoto a can of spinach and he designed and coded the first Zelda in an afternoon. A true Nintendo legend.

Genuinely sorry about the DoPo: thought I'd just flag up that I've finished the Waluigi/Slowpoke fanfic for anyone who's interested. Or... more interested than when I posted up the link the first time, I guess.
