| I gave Bomberman its last chance this evening when I booted it up with a mate. It failed miserably. We started up loading up the campaign for some co-op fun. The first few levels were fine at best, although both of us mentioned that the controls felt finicky as it didn't gel with the isometric view. However, when we reached the boss stage everything fell apart. It devolved into a game of random chance as we tried to corral the enemy into a corner to bomb it to smithereens. We succeeded at one point, but then an absolute shitshow occurred on my TV screen - we had two bombs set up in different lanes and the enemy was positioned in such a way that it looked like we had him. Suddenly, the boss starts convulsing, rapidly alternating between lanes and somehow timed its running so that it ended up unscathed. The closest thing I could compare it to is dash-dancing in SSBM. It then proceeded to kill us until we were out of lives. I used some in-game currency to get another try and the enemy somehow killed itself as we respawned. It's a shame too, as the actual boss fight against a spider mech in an arena - with 360 degree movement rather than a stilted mess of isometric graphics but four-directional movement, I should add - was a lot of fun. The multiplayer was good until we both died and were stuck watching the AI flail aimlessly around the battlefield in a Sisyphean bombing battle. This happened a lot as the AI Bomberman found themselves possessed by the spirit of Agent Smith, but my mate and I were less Neo, and more Bill and Ted. ...I'm trading this in ASAP. |

| I'll put the boot in a bit more too, played a bit of single player which wasn't that interesting but the loose controls have made me feel very negative towards this, it doesn't have the finesse you need for Bomberman so found myself constantly just over stepping the mark and getting blown up out of nowhere. Reading this and hearing it's not just me has made me hesitant to give it another try. |

| Saw a pre-owned copy of this in GAME earlier today. Less than ten days in! Also, did I read that there's going to be a patch for the controls and that? |

| I punted mine off to CEX last Wednesday, so that was the end of that.
I think that's more to do with the input lag that's been going about - it'd take a full rework of the camera to make this control well. |

| Flogged mine too for a profit, score! It's one I could pick up again in the future if it gets updated but as it is now it just isn't good enough. |

| Sounds like they are ironing out all the issues you's had with the game.

| I think it needs a drop in price before I'd recommend it. It's pretty damn sparse and the single player is not worth the price of admission by any stretch. |

| My friend Jake is silly for Bombeman, so I'll give it a go through him. That'll do, I reckon. |

I'll definitely break if I see it for 20 quid. |

Alas, no, I didn't know him that long ago. |

| I have failed to complete the first world three times and now I have used up all of the coins the game starts you with
Why is this game so ridiculously difficult |

| I only got past the first world's boss by sheer luck as it ended up killing itself somehow. The controls and camera in the story mode are gash, so that's not helping its difficulty. |

| I stuck it down to Beginner mode at the start of the second planet. I found it to be ridiculously difficult too, and not the clever, work-it-all-out type of difficult that it should be. |

| Finally had my first 4 player go at this, albeit post big dinner (and post big dinner argument - B-B-B-BONUS!). Hey, it's probably alright I guess, if you're multi-playering. Not sure it was a good idea to let you pick the same colour bomberperson though! |

| Sounds like the updates to this have fixed most of its problems, very tempted to pick it up again soon. |

| It'll need a load more updates and a major price drop for me to give this a second look. It clearly wasn't ready for March 3rd, but I still don't think that what's been added is enough. |

| So ive been playing this quite abit since the updates dropped and it is very much an improved game! Is it still worth more than £20? absolutely not! Probably worth picking again around that price whenever there is a gap in multiplayer games..... which isnt any time soon tbh!

| I think it'll struggle now with MK8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2 and ARMS on their way. Those will be your go-to picks before this, I'd reckon. |
