Ultra Street Fighter II - The Final Challengers: Final My Arse, Capcom

This was shown very briefly during the sizzle reel of games coming to Switch.

Capcom are releasing Street Fighter II for the nine millionth time, but this time with edgy versions of Ryu and Ken. Joking aside, if it has online, I'll likely buy it. Ono will be on Treehouse this weekend showing this off in more detail, so watch this space.

This depends on pricing to me to buy for the nine millionth time and who's playing it.

It wasn't that bad also I'm a little better at SFII.

The only version of SFII I've actually played is the stupidly named - even looks stupid as an acronym - Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. I was pants at it, but this was my first Street Fighter game leading up to the launch of SFIV, so I think I'll be a bit better now.

I wonder how this'll feel when playing with just the joy-cons? I'm thinking a good middle ground between standard controller and a fight stick.

It'll be the pro controller with this for me - I'm used to playing fighters with a pad now.

I'll be using the Pro as well also the Joy-Con has a split D-Pad

This is quite a nice surprise. I was half-expecting SFV, but this will no doubt be the better game. Street Fighter II is timeless, and if this is the definitive version (at least until the next one), then it's a very decent addition to the Switch's library.

In two minds about this. It's a bit old and I sort of want to play a version of SFV (surely they have more content now? Maybe the tarnished name alone means they're not going to bother), but if there's the right roster of characters, I'm in. Silly Super Ryu and Mega Ken, though.

SFV was paid for my Sony, that's why its not happening Zero.

Aye, echoing Mas here - there's no chance of SFV turning up on anything else. A bit of a Bayonetta 2 situation, that one.

I think this will be an easy buy for me, really. This is a perfect game for playing with the Joy-Cons and a mate when you're out and about.

I think I might join in on this one. SFII was the only non-Smash beat-em-up that I was ever any good at (oh, and One Must Fall 2097, but - *shrug*). And it's just before everything got super complicated.
I'd like to see more random adjective characters as DLC though

SFII looked dam good during the Treehouse.

My missus who has never played Street Fighter before beat me on it. 0/10

I used Street Fighter II for my A Level psychology coursework.

We set up a game in the school cafeteria but we had it secretly set up so one player's power was set all the way up high and the other was set super low, and they played a rigged game against me while my two partners secretly recorded them for signs of stress.

Then, we tried another group playing a fair game against someone who hadn't played as much as I had and recorded them.

People reacted very differently to playing me!

That explains it, must have been an experiment, I'm not bad at fighting games. Same with Arms, that was rigged... twice.

It's the same roster as normal part from the two new ones Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.

I think the real meat of this will come with the addition of extra modes - I heard some chat about a co-op mode, which sounds bonkers.

CO-OP is nothing new as one of the Street Fighters, I own on Dreamcast has it but first person mode would be.
