| With all these indies and support from Japanese publisher's like Square, Koei and NIS, the Switch is looking more and more like the VITA 2 which I'm well excited about. |

Let's just hope it doesn't sell like one. |

| Awesome! Got a few friends working on switch ports, compared to wii u, unity and unreal are a breeze! Good signs early on for the console |

Let's just hope it doesn't sell like one. More successful than the Wii U then also thought you weren't bothered about Salezzz |

| I don't think many of us are but it's nice to have the salezzz comeback in our corner if we're attacked by people who aren't in the Nintendo Defence Force. |

Zounds! I've just moved the Shovel Knight thread from its previous home into the Switch subforum off the back of that news.

| I've got a feeling those two (and Setsuna) will all be getting downloaded on the 10th, especially if Fast Racing has online multiplayer and you guys get involved. Poor ol' Bomberman is looking less and less appealing. . . |

Poor ol' Bomberman is looking less and less appealing. . . Yeah £40-50 for Bomberman or likely two of those eShop games and for a new system I personally like to have something in each genre and all three indie games you bring up will do that. I will certainly be on RMX, shouldn't someone also make a friends list? |

Once we've got the Switch in hand and know how adding friends etc works, that'll definitely be a thread worth starting. |

| One for FAST RMX might worth a shout as well, just to arrange games unless we try the App.
Any word on when the App is coming, you'd think they may have released it already.
Update LEGO City Undercover will land on the Switch on April 7th, for those interested in that |

The one for online lobby & Voice chat? A free version of the app launches in the summer & then full thing in Autumn alongside the subscription service. Don't see us struggling to organise some MP though when we have the forum/twitter/skype. |

| I would have thought it would have been good to go for Splatoon 2 BETA at least along with the other online games, but who knows joining and inviting on the actual system might be easier this time. |

| That's potentially two more games for me day one. If I can prise myself away from BotW, natch. Slightly disappointed that Snipperclips isn't following suit, I'd happily ditch those two for 'Clips, but you can't have everything. (Like for example we can't have the Virtual Console. Zing!) |

Anyone want Neo Geo games and Blaster Master (at some-point) |

| I'm sort of excited for an ice hockey game. Some of the animation looks Steam Greenlight-tastic though. |

| I said elsewhere before having Unity and Unreal on Switch alongside dev units only being $500, we will get a lot of games but they maybe Steam Greenlight-tastic at times. |

| Yes, but every console has always had shovelware. Consoles are closed systems though, so to officially release games they go through a quality control process that can't be manipulated by say, some people (or bots) on Steam. That's not to say that, the PS1, didn't have a load of crap on it - hello Simpson's Wrestling and Bubsby 3d - but in general it, and other consoles, had games that had 'launch excecutables,' 'used their own assets, or were artistically cohesive' 'were properties legally used by the dev/publisher' and 'were playable'.
There are exceptions of course, and Sony's gone proper weird at the moment, but I think we're just more aware of shitty games now rather than there being more shitty games as a percentage of a consoles catalogue. The Xbone and PS4 all run unity and I'm pretty sure both systems are fairly easy to develop on since they follow PC architecture. If they're not full of crap I don't think the Switch will be either. Steam Greenlight, on the other hand, is an actual cesspool with the ever so rare good idea floating around in there.
