Switch Launch - What's Your Plans?

I got an email earlier saying I'd been upgraded to have guaranteed launch delivery for Zelda like they were doing me a favour by getting it to me on it's release. like a Pre-order is supposed to, which is the least I'd expect if I'm using Amazon Prime as well, it's a curious one. Still no updates on my Bomberman order but the console itself has been marked as "dispatched" so it could be a case of the console before any games arrive.

Did the same as you Crumpy. I've had no emails from Amazon but the website is saying Friday. Fingers crossed yours arrives then too.

I'm going to see Logan throughout the day at some stage to kill another couple of hours

They've been showing that at 23 minutes past 10 here, which is pretty cool.

Dunno Zero, not heard anything from them.  The payment will be going through on Friday morning, I presume, so I'll contact my bank today to make sure there are no funnies tomorrow.

ONE DAY LEFT

I'm a billy-no-mates with nobody to go with so sitting out midnight launch and hopefully picking up my Switch from Game tomorrow along with Bomberman

Zelda arrived from SimplyGames this morning (they bumped the price from £44 back up to £49 just after shipping the current batch, lol) and the official case came from Nintendo Store today. It feels really nice, inside is felty-soft and the card holder flap doubles as a stand which feels sturdy enough when set up.

Just less than 8 hours until Switchdom is upon us, get excited guys! It would really suck if you didn't get your Switch, balla but it sounds like it's not a terribly widespread problem. I hope you're not left switchless tomorrow

Wait I'm confused I thought you were getting the Switch in-store, Balla, why would they take your money out of your bank when you got to go in pick it up or am I missing something?

Not doing the midnight launch: dad wants to go do the shopping and do it all in one trip.

Having just come in from a parents evening (well, twenty monutes ago), I have no energy left to do a midnight launch. I am, however, attending Saturday's StreetPass Manchester Switch launch event.

Welcome back Jenny!  Your mistake there was dinghying the forum and not making mates with us over the past few years. Never mind, plenty of time to catch up!

My mum, also a maths teacher, also had parents evening yesterday! Then we stayed up late playing Catan, so my dad has only just actually gotten out of bed. We'll be going to the shops when he's had breakfast and that.

I played the OoT treasure chest sound effect on my 'phone as I opened the Switch. I'm pretty sure that's objectively the right way to open the Switch.

Stock was baws round here in Aberdeen - there's two GAMEs within a mile of my flat and they both decided to do midnight launches at the last minute. Turns out that they sold "90%" of their accessories (before selling the other 10% probably well before I'd got there at 3pm), and Zelda and Skylanders were sold out too. I got the last copy of Bomberman in the second shop I'd tried. Still, it's good to have the Switch, and the launch seemed a bit more exciting than the Wii U's where I was the first one to buy that console in HMV two hours after they opened.

Yeah, there were two people picking up Switches when I popped into GAME, and another was being served for a Switch as I was leaving. Promising stuff...?

I didn't get to Game until between half 10 and 11, and another bald man with a beard came in to buy a Switch at the same time.

I went at 8am their was 5 in front of me and when I left only more 1 had come in, it is still better then the Wii U but I would have liked to see a few more faces.

Christmas will be the real test!
