AWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEEAH. Nicalis (of Cave Story, VVVVVVV and other pixelated stuff fame) are helping bring this amazing-looking Kickstarter project to the Wii U eShop. Nothing beats old-school arcade racers - I cannae wait!

It looks a lot like Daytona.......I'm in! I wonder if it will have online though, as much as it doesn't fit the 90s theme it would nice of them to add it.

I can't believe we're still waiting for this. I fully expect Nicalis to return from the silence and announce a PS4 version or something. The last time they wrote about it they mentioned a release for summer, if I remember correctly.

Bloody nicalis! Why must they have a hand in some great looking games but mess it up royally by not updating us with info on said games? I don't blame folk who would move on from or not purchase these games whenever we get them.

The game is now called 90's Super GP and listed for PS4 & Xbox One and not Wii U or PC on the website.

I would think PC is still very likely, not so sure about the Wii U version making it though.

Like I said almost 2 years ago people have likely moved on now.........in other words they've fucked it!

No surprises whatsoever - I'd felt for years that this wasn't going to make it onto Wii U. It's like everybody's been looking beyond Wii U since about the time I made this thread, Nicalis included. Most of the hype that used to be around for this was for a Nintendo version though. Ergo, I fully expect an NX version in March next year (if 90's Super GP is even out by then, natch).

That's the thing about these Kickstarters as someone who's backed about 15 of them and had Zero of them.

I get asked why or that's along wait which games do take along like time to develop.

I'm guessing they changed systems halfway through or something which is the reason it's taking awhile, it's meant to be this Fall from the website.

I'm still sort of excited as someone who played these on SEGA systems which sort makes the whole Nintendo thing a little weird as most of the SEGA lot may have gone elsewhere.
