Yesterday I Bought (a bad pun) for 3!

Sushi Striker and ONRUSH, both new, for just a shade under thirty quid. I like ONRUSH a lot - it reminds me a lot of MotorStorm and Excite Truck, two games that haven't really been replicated a whole lot over the last decade.

Hope you enjoy Sushi Striker too Cappa.  I get a feeling you'll get sick of the narrative trappings quickly, but I can see you (and other puzzle fans) enjoying the gameplay a bunch.

I bought things with the currency of music a while ago! They arrived on Saturday.



Yes, in return for composing the music for Luke Loves Pokémon, I asked for a Pokémon plush from Japan and an authentically weird Japanese plushie.  I got two of the latter!  (Plus a strawberry-flavoured chocolate lolly shaped like Mario's head - not pictured, eaten.)  The octopus apparently represents Osaka, and Arukuma is the mascot for Nagano.

Thanks Drunka!  (Yes I still need to do the Amazon wotsit, I've not forgotten.)

Gotta love the tonal consistency of these purchases, right! A perfect match don't you think?  Couldn't resist the Daredevil seasons at that price and all the positive buzz they get online. Both for 30 bucks on bluray? Absolute bargain.

I ordered these together but in the package was SCVI and a LEGO figure but no LEGO DC game, this was from Game Collection, who I rang like 3 pm in the afternoon and LEGO DC got to me the next day, which was still launch day

Would love to try Soul Calibur 6 but I can't see myself ever purchasing a 1 on 1 fighter at full price. Is there a full on campaign mode like the first games?

It actually has two story modes, one is RPG like with your created character and the other with the proper cast, plus that's not it each character also has their own story as well to play.

Following on from what Mas said, I think Soul Calibur is the series to go for if you're not one for playing multiplayer. Soul Calibur is usually stacked with single player content that lasts a good length of time - supplement that with a few online matches, and I think SCVI looks like a good package. I'd be picking it up if my list of games wasn't already terrifying.

Was it advertised as the discs only? Bit cheeky for them to do so if not!

I bought The Escapists 2 for £15.99 at Argos, Sonic 3D for £15.00 at CEX Union Street, and GamesTM for a change, seeing as it's the final issue.

Not pictured is my copy of Bust-A-Move 2 for PSone, bought for £2 in Shelter. There's a game that should be on the PlayStation Classic...

That and Kula World. A travesty that it didn't make the line-up.

Got my refund, now to find a cheap boxed copy.

Got Castlevania this time boxed and a chap on Facebook was selling his Ghibli films rather cheap like £2 for DVDs, I was a bit late on three others I needed but these cost me £15. I'm not sure about Poppy Hill as it's the collector's edition (cost £7) as it's the only one I own, meaning it sort of looks out of place.

Castle of Cagliostro isn't technically a Studio Ghibli film by the by - it's Miyazaki, but it's before he formed Ghibli. It's part of a long-running anime series called Lupin the Third, so it might not be as good a watch as the Ghibli titles.

And Earthsea is just bad.

Poppy Hill might be good though!

Really I wanted them for the collection which Cagliostro does line up with but just isn't numbered.

Dark Souls for the Nintendo Switch, which came with a nice little knight statuette. I tried like 4 shops before I found a copy, which involved a lot of hiking around and me realising that Nagano is way bigger than I even thought lol. I did pick up a Solaire amiibo along the way though.

Also, I found some Mario Odyssey kinder egg things. This is the same company that did the Splatoon ones at the start of the year but they seem much less rare. You know how I get when there's a Princess Peach up for grabs . . . #prayforluke

Alas, poor Luke. Here he lies, gorged to death on knock-off Kinder Eggs.

This reminded me that I didn't have the Solaire amiibo yet so I ordered myself one earlier today.

Did I mention the cruel fate that befell my Solaire amiibo on here? I can't remember if I did or not!

Oh well, here's the tale again if I've mentioned it already - upon freeing my Solaire from his plastic prison, I ended up dropping the poor soul and he landed square on his left arm, which flew clean off from his torso. He was only half praising the sun, and that simply wouldn't do. I retrieved some superglue Estus for him to sup upon and nursed the poor blighter back to health, but his chainmail looks a wee bit bashed on his arm. He's not Hollow yet, though.

It is only the Octolings and Detective Pikachu who are still sealed, mainly as I haven't really got a home for them if I open as the toy shelf is overflowing.
