I've only just started playing Final Fantasy 7, I'm liking it way more than I thought I would, the annoying fanboys clearly blinded by nostalgia and all the other people saying it's crap and overrated kinda put me off trying it before now but I love it, it does deserve a lot of the praise it gets. It's no Final Fantasy 9 though No I am not blinded by nostalgia

I've never played either of the Shenmue games, or Typing of the Dead, or SEGA Bass Fishing, or Seaman or Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I'm a bad, bad SEGA fan.

Just thought - I only started playing Final Fantasy II about five months ago. What is the latest you've ever been to the party?

Oh I don't know if the second one is better (never did finish it) its larger scope put me off a wee bit but I suppose it made sense in terms of the stories progression.

| Couldn't recommend Shenmue enough.
I'm not sure which game I prefer out of the two (I played through Shenmue 2 first), but while Shenmue 2 is much better mechanically, I found the original to just about pip it as an experience. Shenmue 2 is a lot better as a game, though, and has far more cool things to do within it.
Either way both games are fantastic.

I was late to the party with the Idolm@ster games, though over the past year I've managed to catch up, playing through The Idolm@ster 2, Idolm@ster SP and Idolm@ster Shiny Festa. But I got the worst ending in my first playthrough of Idolm@ster 2 because I didn't get my idol group up to enough popularity (though one of their hit songs did reach the top 20 in the charts). Really engaging micromanagement/sim/raising games, they are.
Tempted to pick up the DS instalment, Dearly Stars.

WarioWare on GC was another game I was late to discovering its sheer excellence, having played and purchased it for the first time around a year ago. Can't believe I shrugged it off back in 2004 when it was even released at a budget £20. Hopefully Game & Wario will have the same sort of manic multiplayer mahem.

Just today I beat Klonoa: Empire of Dreams (2001) for the first time. That's the oldest game I've played through from start to finish since Gargoyle's Quest last year.

Not playing N64 games, especially ones as good as OOT and SM64 does not count as winning.

Didn't play A Link To The Past until 2003 when the GBA SP was released (if I remember correctly the GBA port was released on the same day). Boy I had been missing out on so much.
