Subject: Whatta-July-ing? I'LL BUY IT AT A HIGH PRICE Sun 25 Jun 2017 - 10:26
Welcome to Games of July 2017
Retail
5th That's You PS4 (PlayLink) (Will be free on PlayStation Plus)
7th Accel World VS Sword Art Online PS4
11th Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age PS4
14th The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Switch Cars 3: Driven to Win (Argos Exclusive) PS4, ONE, Switch Don't Starve Mega Pack PS4, ONE
19th Yonder The Cloud Catcher Chronicles PS4
21st 8-Bit Armies Collector's Edition PS4, ONE Fate Extella : The Umbral Star Switch Fortnite PS4, ONE Minecraft Story Mode: The Complete Adventure Switch Splatoon 2 Switch Unbox: Newbies Adventure PS4
25th Aven Colony PS4, ONE
28th Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can you stay focused? 3DS Hey! Pikmin 3DS Miitopia 3DS Rugby League Live 4 PS4, ONE Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun PS4, ONE
My Thoughts: Not much coming out this month, I've got FFXII preordered and I've never played it as it was on PS2 and was a late release as well. Yonder looks decent but it is like £15 on PSN that if I were to get it be on that then £20 retail.
Fortnite might have been fun to play as an f2p game but not to actually buy then we have this month only must own Splatoon 2.
So just the two games Final Fantasy XII and Splatoon 2 with the possibility of Yonder if it reviews well that I'll then get off PSN.
Best of the Rest

31st Hori Nintendo Switch Horipad Wired Controller Life Blu-Ray, DVD Power Rangers 4K, Blu-Ray, DVD Pro.V Hayabusa Arcade Stick Switch JPN Import
My Thoughts: I will be watching Castlevania and Spider-Man as soon as I can. Logan is worth a rewatch and love to see that in 4K along with the black & white version.
War for the Planet of the Apes looks good but I'm yet to see the one before it. Game of Thrones starts again which gets a Woo! The 21st is a very expensive day as I've got all 6 SMASH amiibo, all 3 Splat 2 amiibo and the Splatoon 2 Pro Controller on order and if I could get it I'd have the Neon Splat 2 Joy-Cons on order as well.
Dunkirk likely going to be as its Nolan but not something I'm rushing out to go see. Pyre will 100% be downloaded as Supergiant Games make amazing games. Annoyed Switch version of DQXI isn't the same time as I may have imported that,
Overall I'm watching Castlevania and GoT on TV, go to the Cinema for Spider-Man and maybe Planet of the Apes, buy all the Nintendo tat and download Pyre.
What about you guys?

Dead excited about Spidey and Planet of the Apes. Castlevania and Game of Thrones will naturally be getting a watch. Kong will be getting bought and watched to death along with the other 7 Kong films on my shelf. And I can finally get round to seeing Logan!
Gameswise, Spla2n alone makes this one hell of a month. I'll probably end up getting Hey Pikmin at some point as well, though that's less of an urgent day one purchase.

No gaming certainties, though I might get Hey! Pikmin or Devilish Concentration Training, depending on how the demos pan out. Also may be roped into Spla2n... although Jo and I are going on holiday this month, too, so I might end up cruising through the backlog/living off the eShop.
From Other Things, I am keen as mustard on The Spider-Man VI and will probably see Cars III (Pixar is my jam - I get strange looks from market goers).

Pixar are top-notch but always found Cars to be the weakest and the series most aimed at the kids market.

I forgot all about Spidey being next month.
Good to see the gaming schedule clear next month.

I really enjoyed Cars and never understood why Pixar fans held it in lower regard. Then it became a ridiculous cash cow - one year Disney made more on Cars merchandise than their other franchises combined - and they were roped into making a Cars 2 they clearly didn't want to. 3 looks more like the original than the sequel, in a good way.

I struggled with the first Cars film but liked the second much more. This one's got an interesting premise, if the trailers are to be believed, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Spla2n is the only day one buy there for me, I was super excited by Shadow tactics a good few months back so great to see that is finally coming out. Obviously Im also up for seeing the spidermans.

Think it'll be FF XII and Splatoon 2 for me.
I've always thought people were overly harsh on Cars 2, sure it's the worst Pixar film, but whilst it lacked the heart of other Pixar films it was still better than pretty much anything dreamworks put out.

I'll probably jump on Binding of Isaac and Splatters, I reckon. I'm not as sure on Splatters because my gaming backlog is getting obscene, but we shall see.
I'm more excited about Castlevania on Netflix! Hopefully they do ol' Dracs justice.

Spla-too-ts, obviously, and also Shadow Tactics- but via the current Steam summer sale rather than on console.

Spla2n, and unless Hey Pikmin reviews inordinately well or the girlfriend wants to see Spidey that's probably it.

Spla2n Spla2n Spla2n! Also probably Brain Training, will miss out on Pikmin for now, didn't really feel all that special from the demo. Would like FF12 somewhere down the line as I never played it but it's not something im desperate to play.

These will be out on the 28th
I've preordered them but not sure if I will keep the order or not as £70 is a lot of money (I would flog my grey ones) for somehtign going to be used in portable mode but they look so cool and I'm getting the amiibo, pro controller and the game along with being tempted by the case.

I'd have been all over the Splatcon if I were still living alone and having regular massive Mario Kart sessions. Now I don't think I'll need them any time soon, and I'd rather save the dolla.

I am very interested in giving it a go, if it will mean a decent mix of game audio and integration into who I'm playing with and stuff. Problemis how many other people will bother . . .

Aye, much like Mas, I'll be sticking to Skype too. The game audio isn't a huge deal for me.

Next Sunday August will be going up and the month holds a Mascot coming back to 2D, Saints Row Spin-Off, Standalone DLC which has basically become a spin-off game from Naughty Dog, Sports including a party golf game, A NSFW Splatoon-like, Korean Survival Horror, Switch exclusive with plumbers and bunnies with much more.
Name ideas please.

I'd say that one would only work if we weren't getting Mario + Rabbids next month!
In a play on Zero's suggestion... GNamer + August: Shopping Battle
