My Thoughts: After a decent January we come to a bit of a muh which I can see me getting the SotC Remake and that's becasue it's £25, at a full £40 I think I would have skipped as I don't think really we need a remake and could be something for that broke games thread Zero started.
The only other game is the Bayo 2 + 1 on Switch, everything else like DQ: Builders I own on PS4, Payday 2 could be fine but is anyone here planning to get it? SAO: Fatal Bullet and Dynasty 9 look good but neither series I know much about (I do own a SAO game on PSN which was like £3 in a sale though).
With the just the two games should be able to get back to the backlog and might pick something like Prey (2017), Tekken 7 up.

My Thoughts: Nothing games wise that really takes my fancy part from Nights in the Woods which I will get on Switch as I've still $16 in my USA account to use over the PS4 or Xbox version. Dandara was one of the first Nindies shown for Switch that it might be tempting for a few of you.
Film wise at home Blade Runner 2049 on 4K is a must and I think Thor 3 will be as well, I want to see but not say one LEGO and I would Pokemon but I don't get why it's only on DVD in Feb then on Blu Ray in April.
In the Cinema just Black Panther as know one will want to see Lady Bird or Shape of Water with me.
I've put some PS4 imports in this month as Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match was brought up elsewhere and the others are part of a series you may like such as Dragon's Crown Pro. I do like the look of Switch import Gal Metal! and could be tempted by it.
Moss would have be a day one buy if I still had a PSVR.
What about you guys?

On the games front I am super excited for Shadow of the colossus at the start of Feb as I've always wanted to play it but it has always slipped me by for various reasons, I didn't know it was going to be 25 quid either so that's nice bonus.
I'll also be picking up Metal Gear Survive, I've tried the MP beta over the last couple of days and even though it may have been better attaching this to another series for a spin off or making it a new IP it's still great fun & with a 15-20 hour single player campaign on top of that I think I'll be happy with it overall. Also with the game taking the hunger/healing mechanic from Snake Eater part me is thinking this is a wee test before they release a remake of that with the MGSV engine.

Even though I'm #FucKonami meaning I've not played the BETA but have watched a few previews also read a view and surprised you do like it has been mostly negative.
It might be because of #FucKonami and people have gone into negativity before playing it and even afterwards continue to be so if it is good, I know IGN's Alannah did a preview then a video on it, which she was largely negative part from the progression system and ended up getting a tonne of hate, that caused her to do the video.
That I don't want to see, I think me on here and my personal media going #FucKonami but to someone doing their job, does seem out of order. But I think we will see more of it, and even if the game is good and why you're picking up Jas, I feel it's doomed to fail due to the circumstances around it.

Games-wise, it's Dragon Quest Builders all the way (unless I don't take to the demo, which I haven't played yet). Moving on to Best Of The Rest, my love of Marvel is going to continue with Black Panther and getting Thor 3 on Blu-Ray.

Not saying it's perfect by any means but there's stuff in there that I do enjoy.

Well up for Black Panther as he was my favourite thing in civil war.

Metal Gear Survive isn't exactly going to be gaming's Citizen Kane, but Citizen Kane is boring so who cares? It's the sort of game that probably won't be up there with the best of 2018's catalogue, but from what little I've seen it still looked like it could be quite fun.
I'm worried about Dynasty Warriors 9 though. I'm not sure going open-world was the right choice, but we'll see. It'll get a myriad of expansions regardless so I wouldn't be picking it up anytime soon regardless.

I was thinking more Uwe Boll films, then Citizen Kane. I'm very much expecting to see it in my secret santa this year for the #bantz.
I thought it looked due the open-world nature DW9, I just don't really care for the setting.

I'm grateful for the lack of big Switch releases, allowing me to indulge in some backloggy fun, but I wonder if other Switch buyers will start to feel just a wee bit twitchy... or is that unreasonable of me? I don't know, my benchmarking has been blown out of the water by the Switch's 2017.
Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology is one I might buy if it weren't on a dead machine, though - dead in my case at least.

I think Nintendo thinks Bayo 2 is the big release as about 4 people played it on Wii U. Just you've played and not your genre but that goes for everyone now and again.

I completely missed Bayo 2 for just those reasons. You're right, that definitely counts.

I aiming to save money so I'll likely only be buying Shadow of the Collosus, a game which I've always meant to play but always missed out on. Would also like to give Bayo 2 another go but probably not this month. Metal Gear Survive is one of those wait and see games.

It would be silly and irresponsible of me to be buying videogames next month . . . son naturally I'll bag Bayonetta. I'm sure I'll end up with Dynasty Warriors 9 sometime down the line as well.

Yeah but Uwe Boll makes low-budget, low-quality, not even so bad its good, rubbish. I feel like Metal Gear Solid: Survive is going to be a high-budget, possibly bad but at least fun in patches, thing. It's Michael Bay.
Also Warriors games always work best with elaborately staged battles, I don't know if an open world setting is going to do that. I fear it'll either be rudderless or the open world will just function as an elaborate loading screen between the big staged battles in the same way as prior games.

It's weird that Konami seem to be pushing the MP side of this a lot as that's what most games media places have previewed but from my time with the beta and as fun as it was I can only see myself dipping in and out of that mode whenever anyone I know fancies playing it.
I'm way more intrigued by how the single player story is going to play out, definitely agree on the Michael Bay thing too.

Oh, I didn't know Shadow of the Colossus was so soon! I'm glad to hear it's a cheaper purchase, though.
I'm excited for properly getting into a bit of Bayo action. I might look into a boxed copy for this one.

Bayonetta is totally typical Platinum. Sometimes I click with them, sometimes I don't. I've got an eye on Bayonetta 3 - particularly now I'm enjoying The Wonderful 101 so much - but I have no real desire to replay the original two games.

Yeah, for me not enough time has passed to buy the Bayo's again & even though the sequel is 3 and a bit years old now it is still quite fresh in my mind.

I played through them both on the Wii U, but only once through on normal difficulty. I'd love the chance to put real time into the games, get the big scores on the hard modes and stuff like that.

I've ordered SotC ReMake for £22 and after seeing the reviews seems the classic still holds up.
The only other game in Feb that took my fancy was Bayo 1+2 for Switch (also Payday 2 if others would be playing it) which I've got the Climax Edition (or whatever it's called this time around) preordered but I was thinking last night on upcoming Switch games.
Much like Jas said, I don't think enough time has passed for me not buy them but to them play again and unlike Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that had thing's added to it and the online play which was very good have close to launch of the Switch.
Bayo has neither of them and I've not touched my Switch for a while, that buying Bayo just seems like buying for the sake of it because it's on Switch.
Andy pointed out on Twitter about Fire Emblem on Cube, that's a game I do want to play and do want in my collection that I might be better of using the £70 of buying Bayo and using that on Fire Emblem on Cube or another game for one of my collections that I haven't played or need (looks at those last Dreamcast games).
Of course, I could go for the standard edition of Bayo for £30 or 40 but again I don't know if I would actually play it.

Double Combo
March will be going up on the 18th which seems really early but it is the Sunday before the last Friday of the Month.
Like always name ideas we will see a few Ubisoft games, a new IP from Microsoft, a big JRPG from Level-5 for PS4, Kirby makes he Switch debut and even the 3DS gets some love.
