| I would be very pleasantly surprised if Game Freak went somewhere in Africa, but I somehow really doubt it will happen just yet. |

| Never mind speculation about the next proper Pokémon: is it open season on speculation for Legends 2 yet? Because I'd love them to do something based around ancient Galar! Maybe the Weezing-shaped thing on the Jubilife town hall is a hint...? |

| I've been thinking about this. The 4th Generation's theme was history, so it made a lot of sense to do this. I also have a theory that this started life as the only Gen 4 remake we were gonna get but it ended up so different they had to get a 3rd party in to make something that would appease people who did just want a nostalgic remake.
So my guess is cowboys in Unova. Similarly fronteir and rural, cool aesthetic and could release alongside a jobbed-out remake. |

| Yeah, I'm thinking Unova as well. The whole thing with Ingo seemed so out of place, but that could be our big clue for what's coming up next for Pokémon.
(And watch as we just get BD/SP style Unova remakes instead...) |

| Yes we still don't know why it was Ingo of all people who found himself in Hisui. Good point. |

| I think a couple of Gen 5 mons are the only post-4 creatures in there too. - JayMoyles wrote:

I think Legends is the fastest-selling Pokemon on Switch, so hopefully it's not a one-and-done. |

| Looking back at the list, I actually don't think there are any post-4 monsters than aren't associated with new evolutions or forms, apart from Sylveon who had to be in there really, and - postgame spoilers:
the genies. The genies are probably the biggest suggestion, but they probably fit a game based on olde-worlde Japan better than olde-worlde New York.
Otherwise you have the likes of Rowlet, Goomy, and Bergmite from post-5.

Even then, most of the new forms are from 1-4 or 5. Only Sylveon and Rowlet are from any later. |

Goomy and Bergmite! Otherwise I'd agree.

| I forgot one of those and genuinely thought the other was Gen V! I want to get this written down somewhere, but here's what I'm convinced we're getting: - 2022 - Let's Go Johto
- 2023 - Gen 9
- 2024 - Gen 9 DLC
- 2025 - B/W Remake and Legends Kyurem
- 2026 - Gen 10 (or yet another Kanto remake lol) for the 30th anniversary

| Yeah think we will get another Pokemon this, I went B&W remakes but Let's Go 2 would make sense as well. |

| Couldn't see why not, I'm thinking BDSP like remakes not ORAS type. |

| Yeah but I don't think GF see a difference between BDSP/ ORAS/ FRLG/ HGSS. There's always a nice long gap between a remake of one gen and the next.
More to the point, they'll want to wait until kids for whom Unova was their first game are prime age to spend those nostalgia bucks!

| FRLG: 2004 HGSS: 2009 ORAS: 2014 BDSP: 2021 That's a minimum of five years between remakes. Even throw Let's Go in there and it's 4 years after ORAS, 3 before BDSP.
I think it would look terrible to bring out another remake, on the same machine, so soon after. |

| I'm surprised we haven't seen Let's Go Johto already! The only problem is, HGSS is still my favourite Pokémon game of all time, so it might look a bit iffy by comparison depending on what they do with it. On the other hand, if they bring back the Pokéthlon that's a 10/10 game right there. |
