Hyper Light Drifter (Not Actually a skip Ltd. Game)

I've been waiting for literally years for this, and now it's coming in summer.  Fair to say I'm excited.

(Trailer, to give perhaps a better idea of how it plays if this is your first encounter with the game. Only perhaps, it's still not that clear.)

Like DOOM etc, I may play this on my PS4 (As I own it already on that) when this comes to Switch for the chat.

This has been on my radar for a long while. All the same folks who raved about Monster Hunter or Dark Souls, your Sean Bells and Matt Lees, have been all over this one for years. Can't wait to play it on the Only Good Videogame Console.

Aye, I always liked the look of this but never did get around to picking it up on ps4 so a switch version will do very nicely.

Nah, like Drunka, I've heard plenty of great things about this game from people whose opinions I very much respect. The game looks absolutely cracking (the art style actually puts me in mind of Superbrothers which another lovely looking pixel art game) and it looks like a lot of fun to play too. Sign me up, Scotty!

Gonna be leaving this for now because Backlog. Might as well buy it when there's a sale but looking forward to it when I do buy.

I'm in the same camp as Smurfy, but I'll be looking forward to having another game in the wishlist alongside reading your thoughts on the game, Balla.

My thoughts so far are that the music feels like Blade Runner, the plot feels about as comprehensible as Blade Runner 2049's, the combat (early days) feels like a combination of Zelda and Metroid, and that the game looks like nothing I remember playing. It does look seriously good: perhaps the prettiest pixellated game I know.

It all feels pretty cold and unfriendly, unlike the other two games I've got on the go (or Yoku, hovering around the edges); so I'm not sure if I'll continue to prioritise it. But it's interesting, and I'm keen to give it more of a chance.

Is.....is this another game made just for me? I'll have to resist getting it for now though for the same reasons that smurf and Jay said though.

Probably! It's all lore and exploration, and it's meant to be tough... oh God it really is isn't it.

I've owned this for a couple of years now, on me PS4, and it is hard as balls. Very pretty, but I'm never gon beat it.
