Ah, so a random chance drop. Fair enough, can't really be arsed replaying it to find it, to be honest!

Iirc it's a drop from one of the enemy arsenals in the final mission. I got it first time

Have I missed a mission or something? The final mission for me was against the big walking tank mech.

Oh, from the two enemy pilots that come after you? Makes sense.

Yeah sorry, I forgot about the giant spider mech. Probably because it was pretty disappointing
I did like shooting off its canon then picking it up and firing it back though. That was cool.

Yeah, I enjoyed that moment too! I might be alone in thinking this, but the idea of knocking bits off the other robots felt a bit like Monster Hunter. I'd imagine that feeling would only be stronger had I been playing in multiplayer.

I definitely felt that in the boss fight (which I thought was pretty cool) and could easily imagine four of us having a good laugh with this.

Ah, glad I wasn't the only one!
Yeah, I felt that like Monster Hunter this was solid enough playing solo but will come to life in multiplayer. I hope that Nintendo's online can keep up with the madness of big battles - it's been shaky enough with SBBU!

What you's are saying is why I said Freedom Wars X Zone of the Enders.

I could see a tiny bit of MH in there, but I wonder how they'll balance those missions for 4 people though.

I'd be happy if they didn't, to be honest. A decent challenge in singleplayer or wreck house together.

The home base and spending money to alter your body feels quite Freedom Wars like

The improvements shown in this new demo feedback trailer look pretty good.

Those are some nice quality of life changes. I think the increase to speed when ascending or descending will make a big difference as that felt sluggish as all hell in the demo. The boost in sound feedback when firing your weapon and hitting enemies is a welcome change too - the guns felt weak in the demo as a result.

Just watched that vid. Does look better but Sep is stacked that unless it reviews really well, I may put it on the Christmas list or something.

The same pal who I've been playing Monster Hunter with recently is a big mech fan and is keen to play this, so I think I'll be picking it up day one. If it was only a solo prospect, I might not be quite Day One keen, but I'd be pretty blooming keen.

Aye, I'll likely only pick this up if I've got a few people to play with regularly. One that'll be best with mates, I reckon.

Argh I'm getting hyped again. This is another September game, isn't it? Argh. I'll have to promise myself that I'll finish one before starting the others.

Correct - early September too, I think, which puts it dangerously close to Astral Chain for my liking.

I think those might just make the switch a tad too big but I hope it gives Nintendo a wee kick up the arse to release a better form factor for their joycon or maybe even some other weird attachments for a new WarioWare.

The weight likely won't be an issue considering it has no battery or gyros in it, so it's more the width of the thing I'm not keen on. I recently got the satisfye switch grip though which sorts out my comfort problems when playing in handheld.
