| Hells yeah!
Floody, Lelo, Max and Mary visited last year and they were absolutely fucked just climbing Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, and I was running up and down the whole time. Even my friends here who are kind of into hiking think I'm a madman. |

| Haha, I'll do my best to keep up. There'll be too much to see to rest I'm sure. |

| I'm having to be very careful about what I'm eating as of late and it's having a much appreciated by-product of losing weight, so I've actually set myself a weight loss goal for the first time in many a year to get below a certain weight by my birthday.
As for the reason why I'm having to watch what I'm eating, I unfortunately ended up in hospital recently with what ended up being diagnosed as pancreatitis. I'd initially thought it was just indigestion, but I had this crippling stomach pain that lasted for days, so I had to get into hospital to get it seen to. They couldn't 100% identify a root cause for what brought it on - the most common reasons are heavy drinking, which I don't do, or gallstones, which I didn't have - but it can be attributed to poor diet. I've never been one for eating well and that's only gotten worse during the pandemic.
So yeah, it's low-fat, healthy meals for me now otherwise my pancreas might stop working altogether and I'd personally like to avoid that. |

| Good luck with the new diet. Hopefully you can still be creative with the low-fat and healthy meals, and still enjoy your food. I’ve been trying to do the same. That’s meant more salads, soups and stir-frys, but unfortunately nothing that would let me revive the Snacks Review Thread. |

| Shame - I was looking forward to reading your write-up on Cappa's Caprese Salad. |

| I still eat like a maniac at the weekends, but I've gotten pretty good at eating a sensible chicken-and-vegetables deal for dinner and lunch on workdays. The hardest part with bth dieting and exercise is getting into the routine; once you're into it, it's easy to maintain it. |

| Ooft, Moyles. (With different emphasis from the last time I posted it.) I hope the diet's putting the stomach pains on hold.
I don't eat terribly healthily either. As a lazy chap who doesn't like sandwiches I've been a slave to the ready meal for too long, and I'm trying to break away from that to a degree - but it's mostly led to lunches that are soup with ungodly amounts of starch. Delicious, but not the best swap. |

Getting there. It's been a bit of a trial and error as some foods cause me real discomfort - I had some cheese for the first time since my hospital trip last Saturday and felt awful for hours afterwards. |

| It's finally happened. I had 'Rona symptoms on Monday and got my first positive test today, having spent all of last night in a feverish state of semi-rest that had more anime volleyball in it than I'd care to acknowledge. Feeling better today, but - yep, there's still a pandemic on, thanks for the reminder. |

| Oh boy - well get well soon Balla.
I hate them fever-y half-asleep things - The last time I had this, I had to organise the Power Rangers into a spreadsheet. |

| Thanks Jim. It's now backed down to just an annoying cough, but there's still a (second) thick red line on the tests so I can't do anything outside.
So you had a good fever dream then, lucky bastard. |

| Sorry to hear you caught the 'Rona, Balla. No lingering aftereffects, I hope? |

| I'm still yet to catch it, at leasy symptomatically, but two of my team have it at the moment, so that's been an extra thing to organise around during the busiest two weeks of the year. |

| Hope you dodge the bullet Buska. - JayMoyles wrote:

A remarkably persistent rattly cough, although I think that might have been a separate cold that latched onto me just as I was recovering. All better now happily, thanks! |

I must have had it asymptomatically already. I spend all day playing with kids, I've travelled and ridden trains, I've been in close contact with multiple pals . . . I'm just, as I've been saying for years, immune to disease. |

That, or you are the disease. |
