3) (nerd glasses on) I think you'll find that's Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. I played it. It was okay.
4) Absolutely no buggering clue. Back to the fighting games please. How many Gradius games were there... Gradius V? (I entered 'Gradius' into the search bar and looked at the autocomplete entries, that's all I did, I didn't look up any pictures. If that's not allowed please say so and I'll waive the points I probably didn't get anyway from this question.)
5) It looks like a FIFA Street game, and I have no clue how anyone's meant to know which one. I'll say the original because I don't want to 'pull a 4' on this. Is that called FIFA Street? I hope it is.

It'll be the "falling on deaf ears" approach from me, for the most part. If there were real stakes involved in this beyond a bit of fun bragging, I'd likely consider reviewing the answer sheet.

I do think the music round will the most difficult to judge how easy or hard a track would be, especially for the Medium and Hard sections. A lot of music rounds boil down to "have you heard this before?"

Yep, this one didn't work for me. There was only one where I thought I might have got it wrong despite playing the game, and a whole bunch where you benefit from purely having a wide spread of game knowledge. Fully expecting Mas to smash this one.
EASY:
1) Opening of Super Smash Bros. Mêlée.
2) Opening of Banjo-Kazooie - both knowable from the first few notes.
3) Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog, but one of the later Smash games would qualify.
4) This is nice because you could potentially work it out even if you hadn't played the game! Skyrim.
5) Not a chuffing clue. Donkey Kong Country... 2?
MEDIUM:
1) Final Fantasy VI, I think. Definitely an FF...
2) Don't know, sounds MGS-ish though. Metal Gear Solid IV?

Whilst I do think the music round will be the trickiest, the point you raised is, well, the point of a quiz! If you've got a wide range of knowledge of different games, you'll do well. Same applies to any quiz, I'd imagine.
I'll tinker with the difficulty of the medium round as it's proved trickier than I'd imagined for most, but the easy and hard rounds seem spot on so far with most people doing well for the easy rounds and only a couple of people scoring points in the hard round.
I'll give you all a few more days - let's say Friday for the dawn of the next round.

Firstly... the answers!
EASY:

So, that proved to be a tougher round than I'd envisaged. If we do another music round, which I'd like to as it was fun to put together, then I'll definitely be tinkering with the difficulty of the easy and medium rounds. I'm reasonably happy with the hard round's difficulty as many of you were on the right track but just picked the wrong game in a series.
And the overall scores on the doors after three rounds!
It's heating up at the top... Will Mas hold onto his lead?
I'll be putting the next round up over the weekend - I need to have a think of what would make for a decent category. I've got something already in mind, but I'm open to suggestions for a theme/style of question for this or future rounds!
