We now know what the ring peripheral does and this looks better than it should have any right to be.

Man alive, that was the creepiest acting I've seen in a trailer in ages. That guy in particular - there was something about his stare and his intonation, I couldn't help but laugh at some of his delivery. It didn't help that he reminded me of Ramsay Bolton. Honestly, go back and watch that imagining you're being inducted into a cult or something.
On the point of the game, I'm actually surprised by it! Gamifying exercise is a neat idea and I'm actually sort of interested in picking it up down the line. That lad doing that squeeze challenge minigame was well into it though, wasn't he?

It's like how do we get gamers fit, we make an RPG.

That actually looks kind of good fun. It looks very Miitopia in its gameplay, but with exercise.
Dear God though the presenters. Serial killers both of them. That or they've already fitted things into their rings (s/o GRcade).

This has took me by surprise, I'd love to give it a try but the price point is definitely a wait and see much like Labo was.

Is this any fun? My mum was interested having been a Wii Fit advocate, but I couldn't sit through the two twats doing the talking.

It looks like a fun light RPG, so given that Nintendo are involved with it, yes, should be fun! I predict high 70s on MC.
Seriously though.

They genuinely feel like androids trying to assimilate into human society.
I was hearing a bit more about this on a podcast and they mentioned that if you played this for roughly an hour per day, it would take you 2-3 months to play through the adventure. That's pretty good going for an hour's exercise per day. The question is if it'll work well as an exercise routine or if it's more of an exercise-centred curio.

Interesting point, that hour a day plan. The trouble is, if it's actually a lot of fun, someone's going to end up in hospital through frickin' nervous exhaustion or something, because they don't stop for a week.
It needs to only be a bit fun, I guess!

Nintendo are usually good with throwing eleven billion warning messages at you about taking breaks and being careful when playing their lifestyle games, so I'm sure they'll cover themselves.

This is interesting to read.
I start work early and finish work late, so when I get in at night, I'm usually knackered, inactive, and doing hee-haw. It's not easy to just head out either, as I live in a part of town that's ages away from anything else.
I was advised by a personal trainer that doing something active is better than doing nowt. Which makes sense. So, I decided to buy Fitness Boxing for several reasons, but mostly so I could keep gaming while being at least a little bit productive. It's not bad at all, but there's desperately little 'game' to be played in Fitness Boxing, and I don't think the exercises are intense enough. Ring Fit Adventure is sounding more and more like the sort of thing I'm after. Right enough, it's probably safe to assume that it'll be a bit grindy, but if I'm getting at least a little fitter, I can stay interested. Fitness Boxing isn't quite doing that for me - as said, there's just too little to that.
TL;DR - I'm interested in how this turns out.

Aye, with it being an RPG at its core, I imagine a lot of the adventure will be padded out with moving between locations being accosted by random battles or whatever the game uses as its equivalent. It's the part about getting fitter that I'm interested to see pan out too - from what I've read and gathered about the game, it uses resistance training so you're pushing the Ring-Con like a set of cables in the gym. Apparently that requires having the proper form for it be an effective workout, so I wonder how the game will make sure that you're doing it properly.

It probably won't let's be honest. There's going to be some degree of trust that you actually want to do the exercise.
Anyway I fully expect the ring to be massively overpriced, but if anyone can find it for cheap, it's our Cappa.

That sounds a lot like me Cappa, I've just got home for instance.
So really can't be arsed to drive or go straight from work to a gym at this time a night but could easily level myself up for a bit on the game.

Double post as I've just played this for a bit.
Just done World 1 and I'm shattered, now looking at other users I've got my difficulty on 20 which seems to be higher than everyone else but hopefully as the game suggests should give me a better work out.

Let us know how it goes Mas! I'd be interested to see how good a workout it really is. Was it fun to play as well?

It was okay, very simple almost like a auto runner with battles. When I was struggling as like I say I was shattered, if it wasn't for it being a game and defeating a boss plus leveling up then I may given up in a actual gym.

Oh, that's pretty much sold me on it, actually. Getting over that motivation hurdle has always been a tricky task for me, so something like this might just do the trick.

I've changed how I played today as I reckon you're meant to do a world a day being about 30-45mins workout.
That sounds great but if it's ten worlds then I'll be done in no time and don't know if I would comeback to the game.
So today I did the first level in world 2, the first two simple things in quick play along with the first two mini games and the first set.
Then tomorrow I'll do level 2, 3rd & 4th simple, 3rd & 4th mini games and so on
