The masofdas 20K Super GNamer Pub Quiz

Laddies and gentlemen, I've hit 20000k posts and didn't really know what to do for it, then we started playing the RKG Pub Quiz and I enjoyed running the Gaming one after Jay that I've decided to do a Pub Quiz version which will have some GNamer and masofdas related questions in it.

The quiz is 20 questions and 3 points for a correct answer.

Round 1 Sports

For my favourite posts I've not got a single standout as I've always liked running the monthly games list, talking about retro games, what we've finished last those sort of things.

Hmm. I could create a quiz which I broadcast over Discord, and for those who can't attend I could upload a video of it - (where it is just the quiz - to YouTube. Then people could post answers to the forum or a Google Form? Reveal the overall winner a week or two later maybe.

I'd be up for that Discord quiz! I've done a couple of them over lockdown and I've enjoyed them a lot - well done on making the quiz here mas, but video is the way to go next time

They did a sequel to it starring the RBF lead singer as well, which was also pretty good (and has even less actual gameplay in it)!

3. Which nation is the current Rugby Union World Champions? South Africa, Union is the good code of the two Balla and the one we've done sweepstakes for
4. Who has the most runs ever in test cricket? Sachin Tendulkar, to keep Balla happy
5. What MLB team do Nintendo has a stake in? Seattle Mariners, as you got to have gaming question even in sports and didn't think anyone would get any eSports ones

2. What is the name of the mother in How I Met Your Mother? Tracy
3. How many episodes does Firefly have? 14
4. Which film did Avengers Endgame knock off top spot to become the highest grossing film of all time? Avatar, which isn't a good film
5. Which film would you find Rad Mobile? I would accept either Encino Man or California Man, this is of course the gaming / forum question and should have been well know but only Buska knew

1. Which Eminem album turned 20 this year? The Marshall Mathers LP, Muss missed this one out and the next one will this cost him?
2. In Welcome to the Black Parade what is your father taking you to see? A Marching Band
3. What instrument can I play (badly)? Bass, I can only play Seven Nation Army
4. Who is the lead singer of Reel Big Fish? Aaron Barret, who is white but no points for that
5. How many home console Guitar Hero games are there? 12 which are Guitar Hero, II, III, World Tour, 5, Warriors of Rock, Live, Aerosmith, Metallica, Van Halen, Rock the 80s, Smash Hits

It's a tie between Cappa and Rum for Music but Buska takes the lead with one round to go

Round 4 General Knowledge
1. What City is Nintendo's headquarters in? Kyoto
2. Which retro console did I just buy? 3DO and it is the Panasonic version but no extra points for that, good guess on Evercade but as it's new with new games it doesn't count
3. What's my favourite colour? Purple
4. What is my middle name? Robert not of sorry
5. Who started GNamer? Any variation of Stu for this one  

Cappa and Muss tie for General Knowledge

The Grand Champion is well we have a three-way tie between Cappa, Muss and Rum

Cappa did get two tied round wins
Rum also tied a round with Cappa and got two questions right each round making him Mr. Consistency
Muss tied a round with Cappa, won a round out right and missed two questions

That I'm giving it to Muss who can take the baton and be the next quiz master

Muss is now (very briefly) my favourite person after getting the cricket one right! Also: impressive from Jim, Murali actually got the most wickets but damn close.

Congrats Muss! Good thing you won, considering you already offered to do a quiz and the unexpected prize was to be the next quizmaster

Wow, a three-way tie. I think I left the two music questions blank because I was having one of those, it'll come into my head at some point lets just do the other questions, moments. Never did come into my head though. Good quiz.

How would people be set for an August 16th quiz over discord? If we could fit it in at 1pm ish then the timezone shouldn't be too bad for Drunka if he wants in (and if Drunka cannot make it we can move it to an evening kick off). Either way I'll make a new thread and upload a video for people that can't make it.

I think that'd be 9 or 10pm for me, I'd be up for that.

I'd actually only be able to do a quiz in the afternoon on Sundays as I'm usually round at my Dad's in the evening, so 1pm would be ideal.
