I spotted a fair bit of chatter about this in the What Have You Been playing thread, so I think it's time for a dedicated thread about this one!
I've sunk a few hours into this already and I must say, I'm really impressed by this. I've always enjoyed Supergiant's games, but this is their best effort yet. I was chatting to Andy the other night about the fact that this has solved a lot of issues with roguelites that I never knew I had. Dying in roguelites is usually a very frustrating thing as losing all of your progress is really the only outcome of death. Sure, you'll maybe have got a couple of new unlocks, but that's almost expected with the genre. Hades totally alleviates that frustration as there's almost a bit of excitement at going back home after death and seeing what characters you can chat to and what story beats you'll uncover next. They've really nailed the marriage of storytelling with the roguelite genre.
And of course, it plays a storm as well. Man, even just typing about it has me wanting to fire the Switch up for a run.
As for my progress...
Spoiler:
I've done eight runs so far with my latest run making it to what seems to be the end for now (although knowing roguelites, that probably won't be the case) with a showdown with Hades. Sadly, I had no death defiance and had half HP going into the fight, so the big guy smacked me back home in short order. But I was glad to finally get past Theseus and his mate as my previous three runs had stalled there.
I presume the rest of you will have finished this by now?

I've done 49 escape attempts overall 2 of which I've completed with 2 different weapons, my main goal at the minute is getting runs done with the 4 other weapons along with doing so some story related things.
It's without a doubt my favourite game of this year & that was with me being a bit down on roguelite/likes before it came out.........now that's me off to try another run.

I'm really enjoying how each weapon not only feels different from one another in their base forms, as you'd expect, but also how a run with a weapon can feel totally different from another run with the same weapon depending on what boons you get. I've done two runs with the spear and my first was more focused on dash attacks and getting in close, whereas the latter was long range focused on lobbing the spear and using my Cast. Properly brilliant design, that.

Even though it was only a fiver on PC, I should have paid the extra money and got on Switch as I feel I would have played more of it even on my Lite. As what I have liked a lot even in a genre I'm not hugely keen on.

Buy it again on Switch! I plan to buy again when it goes to PlayStation.
I managed to complete my 10th successful run earlier this week from 27 attempts so I'm gonna focus on a few other games for a bit but I can totally see myself returning to this every now and then for another go.
My current best time is like 40 minutes which I've seen bettered plenty of times over on Twitter so I wanna try and better that, also want to attempt it without any boons whatsoever which I understand gives you some different dialogue.

I might do especially if I get another Switch for MonHan Rise that I may get then.
I wonder if it comes to PlayStation or Xbox or Stadia or Luna or so on as isn't Pyre still a PlayStation Console.

I just think it'd be silly at this stage for them not to port it and the main reason it came to Switch first is how easy it was to port from Steam, well worth putting in the time to put it on other consoles as I'm sure plenty of people are itching to play it.

The cross save patch just came out as well so it's the perfect time to own two copies.

I think my best time is like 31 or 34 minutes though I've botched plenty of possible sub 30 runs, oh also my two escapes are with weapons I've used the least.

35 minutes is my fastest time, but my success rate is a lot lower than smurfs.
I've been doing those heat runs now in an attempt to get more diamonds. There's still a lot to do!

So yeah I've bought on Switch in the sale and synced my data.
A had a quick go and the game looks great on the Lite's screen whilst I fail terribly at the first boss.

I got my first clear last night and then immediately went on to get two more clears to make it three in a row. I think this has clicked for me. I'll spoiler my clear builds below to avoid ruining weapons/boons for those that care about that:
Spoiler:
First clear was with the gun which really surprised me. It was all built around the special grenade launcher move though - I had that buffed to high heaven damage-wise and also had the regular shot built around chilling the enemy so they couldn't easily escape from my big bombs. I shredded most regular enemies in one or two hits, which meant I had plenty of HP left for chunking away bosses.
My second clear honestly wasn't particularly special - it was with the bow, but I had the Titan Blood upgrade that turns your special flurry into a homing attack if you've tagged the enemy with a regular attack first. Outside of damage buffs, it was a standard run.
My third clear was incredibly fun. It was with the sword but it was 100% down to Zeus's Call. I had that buffed up a couple of levels, but I also had a really cool duo Aphrodite/Zeus boon which capped the Call bar at 25%, but made it charge automatically and a bit quicker. I comboed that with more boons to help the call bar charge quicker, an attack speed upgrade and a boon that gave Zeus's lightning a chance to strike twice. I was literally using Zeus's call every couple of seconds. Great fun and I finished up with a clear time of 31:18.
I'm interested to dive into some of the run modifiers you unlock after your first clear, but I'd like to try and get a clear with each weapon first before using those. I'm struggling to find any fault with this game. Easy 10/10 so far.

Reply to Jay's spoiler:
Congrats on the clears I'm still looking for my third overall clear myself. (combo of bad boon luck and bad play recently)
Anyhow, your third clear was practically the same as my first although mine was with the twin fists, did you have Zeus' billowing strength or clouded judgement at all? As those pair really well with that 25% call set up, it was just insane damage output that sort of ruined all the other weapons for me for a wee bit. The keepsake I had on was a sweet bonus as well.

That third clear sounds ridiculous! I have found my best runs usually center around having a Duo, get that early and you're set.
For those that have "borrowed something" during a run:
I feel pretty confident facing Hades now but what I've only attempted once and failed quite badly was to defeat Charon so besides getting a super speedy run I think I wanna do that, not that I know how to activate it.

I reached the credits in this now after chucking a lot of time into this over the last few days. I'm getting clears more often than not now - I think having a third Death Defiance is a game changer. Plus, game knowledge and skill increasing as time goes on is a given too, natch. I still don't feel done as of yet though as I'd like to see some of the side stories play out along with a post game story thread that's interesting me too.

Something borrowed:
Yeah, I actually lost a 4th clear in a row thanks to fighting Charon for the first time. I beat him, but I was so badly beat up that I had no resources leading into Styx, so Hades kicked me back home in short order. I went back a second time on another run and had a much smoother time. He's very punishing as I think his swipes do 50HP's worth of damage per hit, but they're easy enough to dodge through once you learn his patterns.

Double post!
----
I've finally got past that bad spell of play that I spoke about earlier in the thread and got 4 victories on the spin. The more progress you make in this game no matter how small or big just makes me love it that bit more, everything seems to have properly clicked for me now and I feel like I can finally.......
Spoiler:
..........start messing with the pact of punishment modifiers & figuring out how to progress some of the characters stories.
75 hours on my play time and the real Hades starts here. Game of forever!

Fired this up again yesterday. Got a 26 minute clear with the sword!
I was pushing to see how fast I could go.

(I've only played one run and milled about the house a bit. I'll have a bigger sesh today).
