Only Horizon Forbidden West is a day one for me. A lot of maybes but stuff like GRID Legends because EA it will come to Game Pass, and even though Elden Ring looks like it will be a banger, I'm not sure if I'll get on with it.

Are Elden Ring and Horizon Radio West Highland Terrier going to be any good on the PS4? If so (i.e. it's just like "the puddles aren't as shiny yo") then both. If there are bigger gameplay nerfs - i.e. I'm gonna be missing out on something to do - maybe not.

Was leaked PS4 footage of HFW, still looked good. Know some sort of lighting only in the cutscenes on PS4 but in gameplay on PS5 (don't think it was RT).

That be about it, gameplay etc be the same look at Miles, Sackboy and any other cross-gen part from maybe Battlefield 2042 because of how many players.

This is such a difficult month, I want a lot of things but I know I won't have time for them all so I've gotta pick something and stick with it basically. Sifu could do well for me as it's early in the month and probably one of the shorter games I want, Dying Light 2 also really interests me at the start of the month but as we all know, that is not a shorter game.

Olli Olli World looks really neat but I might wait to see a bit more to decide if I absolutely have to play it now and then towards the end of the month is the big ones, Horizon is definitely on the cards for me but the £70 price tag will mean I won't rush in, as good as it looks as well I don't feel like I'll be missing out by playing it later. Elden Ring is the one I think I'm gonna have real Fomo for, I've only ever played Bloodborne from that genre and I do want to return to it so might be wise holding off in that sense, at the same time I know they're not linked so it probably won't matter if I do play Elden Ring first (of course I could play Bloodborne through before it arrives but that would require not getting distracted by other games in the meantime).

So to answer the question, I don't know what I'm getting but I'm getting something.

I saw the price of Sifu when looking at the coming page on PSN, pass at £35, hopefully a physical version comes.

You could with HFW buy the PS4 physical version, which is upgradeable and is £10 less RRP, I'm going for the slightly fancier version but not the super fancy version with a statue.

Elden Ring, gonna be all over it.

Elden Ring is a lock, Horizon is am almost definitely, Sifu is a maybe if it turns out a mega banger, Dying Light 2 is a probably one day for co-op but not before it's 20 or less.

A PS4 case when I could have a PS5 case? I've had to do that when I bought Disco Elysium the other week because they don't have a physical PS5 version available and I'm still upset about it.

I did that with Guardians of the Galaxy and keep forgetting I've got it.

Also Disco Elysium does have a physical PS5 from fangamer or iam8bit one of those.

There's y'all, with about five different games to pick up or have a look at; and here's me, probably buying nothing. Mas has talked up MONARK a couple of times, but with Shin MegaTens V still to finish and January's big game being a chonky RPG as well, I don't know if I'll fancy it.

...oh who am I kidding, it's me. My favourite thing to follow a 50h JRPG with is a 60h JRPG. I'm more concerned that I've heard basically nothing about it so it might not be good.

It's from some EX-Atlus peeps, why it is on my radar, also famitsu gave it 8/7/8/7.

Isn't that basically solid 6/10 material from any other outlet?

Who knows but can tell ya it's out in Japan, so could do some research and see what people thought of it over there.

Elden Ring for me, of course. I'll pick up Horizon down the line no doubt, but much like the original - which launched alongside BotW - it's picked a terrible month for getting my attention.

I'd imagine load times will be slower on PS4. I'd expect framerates and such to be better on PS5. Horizon will probably do some things with haptic feedback on the triggers when drawing the bow, for example.

Also, going back to a previous thing, that doesn't sound too bad with the Horizon/Elden Ring business. I imagine that with so many PS4 owners yet to make the jump, they can't really afford to make a bigger better experience separately on the PS5. Quite keen again now!
