Featuring the work of James Turner, former Pokémon designer and artist, this looks properly class. Too class, in fact: I'm worried that, assuming no Switch Pro emerges, the hybrid won't quite have the chops to do it justice. Still. Look at it. The mixture of authentic storybook visuals and the properly beautiful real world... this is far and away the most interesting thing announced during the mishmash of shambolic showcases replacing E3 this year.

Yeah this is the only new thing I've seen so far that's been genuinely interesting, obv it'll be PS5 for me, but excited to see more

Aye this was the first wow moment of Not-e3 & even though it's a game that fits Nintendo well I'll probably get it on ps5 as well.

Likely being Devolver be in Game Pass, so Xbox for me (Maybe Andy as well if in GP) then I guess but who knows by 2023 could be playing it on a SteamDeck, yeah interested in the game.

I am a sucker for games that have little homages to other genres in them, so couple that with an absolutely gorgeous art style and I am 100% sold.
Obligatory "probably on PS5 though".

We'll see who's laughing when I'm playing The Plucky Squire on the train at 3fps.

I'll do that on a SteamDeck, and likely with Game Pass.

I wish I hadn't cut off the bottom left one as that really was a cursed Yoshi.

I'll be all over this and I reckon it'll run nicely on Switch; that's where Turner has his experience after all.

EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot to actually watch the real trailer. That's fantastic. It's like the "whoah what" moments of Mario Odyssey, but to the power of 2. Fingers crossed it's a good'n.

I hope you're right, but it's not as if Sword/Shield pushed the hardware! This looks much nicer, albeit in more contained spaces.

I've got to raise an eyebrow at this as surely he didn't have any involvement outside of the design aspect of Sw/Sh, no?

No, but if he's used to designing for Switch he won't suddenly forget how to do it. He was lead art director on Sw/Sh so he was presumably pretty involved.

Wish I hadn't been quite so correct on this one. Still, it sounds like even on other systems there's a fair few game crashes and a bit of bobbins stealth, so perhaps I'm not missing out all that much?

I've just got to Chapter 7, I'm enjoying the 2D part of the game so far. But would say the 3D bits seem to be the worst or coming of Astro Bot they seem below par.
It does have a stealth section near the start, I've not seen one since. And it did freeze once, I just reset it which auto save was like a 1min back.

I'm glad I forgot this was coming out. Hopefully there will be a patch or a sale later down the line.

I just did a second stealth section which was really well done in Chapter 9.
Did have game freeze on me again though.
