I've made a start on MH gen and have only just ranked up

Yeah, been playing as much of this as I can. Suddenly regretting having a full time job/ friends/ new relationship.

We need to turn those friends onto Monster Hunter & turn playing the game into a full time job.

It's a shame 3DS is so hard to capture from or we could do some video stuff.

Rhythm Thief is starting to annoy me. I'm on R30 and I have had my ass handed to me about twelve times so far.

Still trucking away at Fire Emblem Fates Birthright, unlike Conquest this game is easy with a capital "E".  Especially now some of the characters are getting promoted classes.  

Surprised how likeable Takumi actually is.  He was such a raging douche in Conquest.

Maps are still way better than Awakenings despite the constant rout the enemy win conditions and easiness however, fair bit more variety to their structure than there was in Awakening's cube-a-thon maps.

I'm working through Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations and I'm taking my first jump into the world of Monster Hunter. So far, so good! It took me a while to find a weapon I really enjoyed, but I'm loving the Switch Axe.

Athrun: Birthright was pretty easy up until the last few chapters. Even then, it devolved into "deploy Ryoma and Takumi and Corrin, let them kill everything".

Finished 4* village in generations, so now I'm switching up to the Hunter's Hub to clear out some quests before moving on.

What weapon & style have you went for/been mostly using?

I'm a bowgunner, and I've switched from maining HBG in 4U to LBG in generations. Using adept style because constant evasion up and the super dodge are literal godsends. I'm really liking that the guns have special internal ammo types now too (flash shot is amazing, for example).

Apparently HBG + aerial + pellet shot is broken to hell, but I've yet to try it. More one for the larger monsters I think. My current gun rapid fires 3 pierce lvl 1 with 40% base affinity though B)

The guide I'm following says I'm near the end of Tales of the Abyss - just a few bosses and a dungeon. The only other boxed 3DS game I've got is Angry Birds Trilogy.

I'm playing Runny Egg! It's a genuinely decent Sonic-esque platformer that's on sale on the eShop for just £1.25.

I watched a speedrun of that at this year's SGDQ event. Looked alright, actually!

Yeah - I just wanted it to be over, to be honest. I was following the first walkthrough in the list on GameFAQs.

Sign of a great game, that.

Yeah, the game goes on far too long for the story its telling. Especially with that weak battle system. Should've been probably fifteen or so hours less.
