For myself, I'm keen on the new Prince of Persia which I'll play via Ubi+ and go back to AC: Mirage and start Avatar within that months worth of sub. I was going to preorder Another Code, as I'm a big fan of the DS game and never played much of the Wii game, yet I know I'll just won't get to it (Looks at Ghost Trick & Detective Pikachu).

Same day however, got the Noah and Mio amiibo coming, I'm unsure if (okay more when) I'll upgrade The Last of Us Part II to the Remaster likely when season two of the show is on.

Tekken 8, I have pre-ordered on PS5 after playing a little bit of the demo, it more than likely be like MK1 & SF6 that I do the story, mess around with a few other bits then trade in. I do like the look of the silver PS5 DualSense and Covers, yet I'm holding on to the hope we get something for Rebirth.

Rebirth is February and so is the physical version of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, just guess reviews be earlier with this digital release in Jan to see if it is worth getting.

What about you guys? Anyone picking up Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Deluxe Edition?

Ohhhhh, that one!  No the third game in the trilogy's the good one!

Nothing for me this month.  It feels like there should be, but I've played those AA games before and they're a sight weaker than the initial trilogy so I don't feel the need to play them again.  I've got fond memories of Another Code that I don't want to ruin by hearing Ashley with VO, and I recall that the sequel was worse.  UbiSoft will by that point stand alone as the worst big company (as far as we know) in the industry.  So that's three interesting Switch packages I won't be touching any of, and I'm running low on games I'm interested in.

My experience of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Deluxe Edition is that one of the devs is on the Back Page Discord, and much though I like him for the most part his constant posting of trailers for this game has been really irritating.

I never played Another Code's sequel and I want to support the release of Cing games, so I'll pick it up eventually.
And I'll buy that AA trilogy after Mercy and I finish playing the original trilogy when we move in together next year.


Who are Noah and Mio? Like Noah from the bible? Is it the Russel Crowe version?

Ahh a weaker Trilogy and skipping, wasn't far of but did think you'll get the game just because it's AA.

I sort feel ya Buska, like if I buy Another Code and it does well, do we get the other Cing games remade or new ones from a team within Nintendo.

Russell Crowe is Noah??? And that would certainly change Xenoblade.

Prince of Persia does look good but Ubisoft so no, I might play it when it eventually comes to PS Plus or something. I'll be up for the Apollo Justice Trilogy but that's way down the line, I did re-buy the original Trilogy last year after my 3DS playthrough got interrupted so once I've done them I'll look in to it. Another Code is also of interest, I might pick it up as I can't see it being readily available in the future. I'll get the upgrade for TLOU as some point but I'm more likely to just re-visit the base version so I can double up on trophies so no rush to get that. I won't be getting the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justicd League Deluxe Edition but...

Urgh, this is an annoyingly good argument. Maybe I ask for it as a gift down the line?

As I've got plenty of Xmas money (decent wages as well due to Xmas hours), I have gone a pre-ordered Another Code for most of the reasons you guys said.

Best thread title of last year was the Blade Runner one in May.

Oh wow, this is a busier month than I expected. My Christmas games will be my focus for the foreseeable, but I guess there's a few I'll be picking up at some point.

TLOU2 Remastered: Unlikely to get to this anytime soon, but I guess this'll be the version I play whenever I get to TLOU2.

Another Code Recollection: Yeah, interested in this one. I've never played either of them, but I know they're pretty well regarded round these parts.

Apollo Justice Trilogy: I probably won't get this as I own all three already, but I hope it does well so Capcom can hurry up and announce AA7.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: Yeah, I'll definitely play this... once I've finished with Yakuza 5, Yakuza 6, Judgment, Yakuza 7, Lost Judgment and Ishin.

Tekken 8: I think this'll be the only game I end up actually buying this month. It's looking really good and seemingly has a great single player offering too. I played a good bit of T7 and liked it, so aye, pretty sure I'll get this.

Suicide Squad: Oh man, this one is tough. Like, I hope it's good, but there's so many warning signs about this. I think I'll wait for reviews and take it from there.

In awe and envy of the sheer amount of games Jay has to look forward to. What are the warning signs re. SS? I promise I won't take them back and throw them in the aforementioned dev's face.

Live service type stuff, blown a bit out of proportion if you ask me, I'm confident it'll be good.

Well it didn't look good at the PlayStation Showcase, then what a year delay, which won'tfix the core game of live service.

Wouldn't be shocked if it's 2024 answer to Redfall or Outriders.

I only ever heard positive things about it, even if it didn't retain players for very long, anyway that's a lot better than Redfall. Either way I'll have to disagree on this one, Suicide Squad looks fun and it should have a decent story.

Live service stuff slightly covers it, as others have mentioned, but it's more so that the game has been delayed multiple times (usually not a good sign) and supposedly it was to rip out/rework the live service stuff. On paper that sounds good, but it could just result in a bit of a mess in regards to progression and structure in the game. Having recently played the pretty dire Gotham Knights, I'd be concerned about Suicide Squad being a crafting hellhole too. Couple that with the gameplay not looking too great - the movement looked fun, but every character used guns and I think it's going to be a pretty dull third person shooter on the surface with some hero abilities thrown in.

Aye, not optimistic!

War Hospital on the 11th sounds like an absolute hoot and exactly what’s needed to take the January blues away.
