Sorry I never asked you guys for a title, sort of been under the weather with a terrible toothache (had a nerve taken out and got to back to get the tooth taken out, yay) and only just realized that this weekend is the one before the final Friday of the month.  

Anyway my thoughts I have Granblue Fantasy: Relink pre-ordered on PS5 though digital version (which is also on PS4, PC) comes out a bit earlier on Jan 29th that if reviews are bad, I can cancel this, yet all the previews seem pretty positive even the Monster Hunter-like Multiplayer looks cool.  

Persona 3 Reload, I am keen on, yet I'm not going to play two JRPG's on basically the same day and with this being in Game Pass (may even buy on PS5 to play handheld on the Portal), like I can just come back to it in April or something where Granblue as I'm buying it, that be played/finished then sold to fund next game (maybe even P3R) etc.

Suicide Squad, we've already talked about this, the funny thing is I do think it will be a bad game in terms of reviews, yet I liked Avengers and I wouldn't be shocked if I like SS, yet it is one I get in a sale down the line when it drops such as Avengers did.

Helldivers 2, another game I have pre-ordered and is a bit of budget game at £35, yet is online only and those often f2p now, does that make this expensive? As Foamstars out only a few days before in Plus that I will give a bash at least.

If I'm comparing Suicide Squad to Avengers, then Banishers I am doing the same to with things like Forspoken or Immortals last year again I really liked those, just don't know how much of rush I be to go out and get this. Of course, I am getting the Sora amiibo on the 16th.

The 22nd is car day with Pacific Drive that does look good from the previews, yet I see survival game, can't help to think of Balla with Subnautica and I feel I'll be the same with this. Whilst Open Roads from Not Fullbright, is right up my street as I love me a narrative game then it's on Game Pass

And we end the month with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which should be awesome and rounds out a pretty stacked month for the PS5 with this, Granblue, Foamstars and Helldivers 2 maybe even Pacific Drive worth checking out.

What about you guys? Anyone actually going to play Skull & Bones or Tomb Raider fans?

As the months drag on and it becomes increasingly clear that Nintendo's offerings this year are going to be 90% redos of slightly odd games until the Switch 2 is formally announced (TTYD is definitely slightly odd, in that Nintendo's looking at it at all), there's less and less for me until an indie springs a surprise. One name did stand out this month, that being Pronty: I swore I'd seen it before, and it turns out it's an underwater Metroidvania that's already out on the eShop and got 8/10 in Nintendo Life. I'm not getting the retail version, but it'll go on the wishlist.

Clearly should've gone for a Mario vs. Pronty Kong pun for the title, therefore.

There are a couple of games I want to see tank this month: Suicide Squad because I'm not interested in it at all (playing it or its concept) and I've heard far too much about it, and Foamstars because it's using AI art. I realise that it's only for album artworks, and that it not selling won't slam the floodgates on a rising trend towards using AI. It doesn't matter. AI art is an absolute hive of unlitigated problems, and every game that uses it that flops is a good thing.

I did have Final Fantasy pre-ordered but cancelled to fund the purchase of EA FC 24, a mad decision in hindsight but I'll get the difference back before then and get a hold of FF7. I'm really interested in Suicide Squad, I've long since said I think it'll be good and I stand by that, there was a similar situation with Guardians of the Galaxy and whilst I don't think this'll be as good as that I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I'll try Foamstars I'm sure but as long as it reviews well (fantasy critic) I'd also like it to fail because of the AI thing. I really like the look of Helldivers but not sure I'd have anyone to play with so that's probably a no, I'd also quite like Mario Vs. DK and My Time at Sandrock but I'm not gonna go out of my way to get either.

If you're getting He2divers, Jas that be three of us. Though will say I remember the plan to play Street Fighter 6, think that happened once and no one ever mentioned it.

Why like I've not gone anyone getting Tekken 8 this week, as doubtful be much online action, so I'll just play the story mode and move on.

Least with He2divers, it is online only so will be on at somepoint playing it.

I expected more SF6 as well but sometimes folk just get caught up with other games/things.

You have my attention, at £35 it certainly seems worth a punt, I remember enjoying the first game but this looks an even more enjoyable prospect for me.

Helldivers is a game that I would love to play, but I know if any games were to be arranged they'd be too late for me with my current schedule

I'll wait and see how P3 reviews as I am so very very scarred by the final boss it'd take some encouragement to play.

It's all about FF7 though. I just played through Crisis Core so I am so ready to play an actual proper good FF again and I'm well armed with the knowledge to take it on.

If Rebirth is better than Crisis Core, then it's a banger.

How I do these March would be going up this weekend, but as February is a short month I feel this is a bit too soon.

Meaning March will be going up next weekend, name ideas like always for the month the includes an actual new Switch game, sequel to a cult classic, a return of a survival horror series and many more.
