My Thoughts: Unicorn Overlord is the first game in March I've got my eye on as I do like Vanillaware games, though I might still be playing Final Fantasy Rebirth (I'm being silly as I've got 29th, 1st, 2nd off to play it) or if I've finished it (More than likely will have) will I want another RPG so soon seeing I'm halfway through Sea of Stars, Tales of Arise on Plus, Persona 3R on XGP, Super Mario RPG on Switch etc,

STAR WARS Battlefront Classic is a maybe, I did like on the OG Xbox which played a wee bit online and could be keen again for this, just it's more where are people buying it as I would go PS5 but can see SS3 lads wanting to get on Xbox and you's on here on Switch. I do also like the Pink Joy-Con but don't use enough to warrant getting and even if I did what a year out from Switch 2.

Hi-Fi Rush is cool seeing come to PS5, and it is getting physical that I'm oddly keen to get as a bit of novelty of here's this Xbox game on my PS5 (yeah I know could have bought the Quake games etc this just feels more Xbox).

Alone in the Dark would have got a look in, yet I think it will go down in price quite quickly and only two days later is Dragon's Dogma 2 and Princess Peach Showtime which are both day one, with Rise of the Ronin waiting on reviews to see if it's more Souls or Ghosts then I'll get after I finish one of other two to sell towards it. Of course this list is just what up for pre-order etc as I'm sure Open Roads now end of March.

Unicorn Overlord, maybe yet I've got other RPG's to play

That's quite a few, and I'd still like to check out Banishers, which I feel might be what's after Rebirth and before DD2/Peach instead of Unicorn.

Princess Peach is day one for sure.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is day one . . . of me owning a PS5. So sometime in July or so.

Unicorn Overlord will probably get a look in at some point, it does look really good, but it's coming out too close to FFVII Rebirth.

I'm sure I'll play Dragon's Dogma 2 at some point, but I should probably give the first game a go first.

Also, is there a demo out for the Peach game? I'm sure it'll be grand, but it's the sort of game I'd want to try before I buy.

Showtime is one I'll look into more if gets the reviews. HiFi Rush is the one I'd have bought if it was coming to Switch, which it isn't.

Thought Unicorn Overlord might been your thing, as mentioned earlier today on Discord, now I remember you don't like strategy RPG's.

Also: choices.  Unicorn Overlord looks pretty choicey.


EDIT: There is one thing I'm actually interested in that you've left off the list (I know, you can't include everything): Pepper Grinder releases on the 28th.

I'm very much in the mood for WWE 2K24 so I could see that being purchased but I might hold off for a price drop as they tend to get those a few months in. That Sociable Soccer will likely be rubbish but I'll be keeping an eye on it because I'm always keen on arcade football, on the same day I'm more likely to pick up the Battlefront Collection, never played them originally but as someone who got a lot out of EA's recent ones I'm sure I'll get plenty of enjoyment out of these.

Hi-Fi Rush is worth a look I'm guessing but not gonna be a day one purchase, there's always the chance that people just held it in high regard because there wasn't much else on Xbox. Dragon's Dogma does interest me I just can't see myself playing something of that size so close to FF7 Rebirth, same for Rise of the Ronin which is more likely to get picked up out of the two.

Princess Peach should be an easy buy having two daughters so I'll have to try and let the eldest see some adverts so she can ask for it. Finally there's Omori which I've been meaning to pick up but held off after seeing a physical was due.

Lot of games of interest there, absolutely no time to play them.

Pepper Grinder wasn't up for preorder when I looked, why missing Balla.

Hifi much like some Nintendo games from Nintendo sites (remember Switch Player) get overscored, and can see that from Xbox based ones.

General game sites still think liked it and talked-about in GOTY chat, though your favourite EDGE gave it a 7/10.

I only did the first level myself and got distracted by a game I would have bought, thinking ill go back to it as in Game Pass, just haven't.

Rise over Dogma interesting, I may switch them around myself, just Dogma seems cheaper & I'm iffy on the combat in Rise.

As a rule I'd usually say a Capcom game is a safe bet but Ronin looks like it might have the more interesting setting and story plus the director of Dogma saying "only rubbish games need fast travel" when fast travel was one of the main criticisms of the first game doesn't fill me with confidence.

I thought that was funny because there are definitely games that rely on fast travel because their game isn't fun to explore, anyhow I'm more worried about Dogma 2's combat as it looked a bit same-y over multiple classes so I'll need either a demo or a review I can really trust before I'm sold on getting it.

Pepper Grinder is the only must buy for me, then a handful of maybes in Hi fi rush, battlefront, sociable soccer & Rise of the ronin.

Oh he's definitely right but it just sounds very stubborn.

The stubborn refusal to play by rules is the beautiful side of Capcom which gave us Monster Hunter.

I'm gonna be pissed if all of you PS5-owners buy some other shite instead.

I'm almost definitely not getting Dragon's Dogma 2, I've tried the original about 5 times and the combat just isn't fun to play. I'll be paying attention to the reviews for sure, but I'm skeptical to say the least.

Pretty dry month all round though. I'll keep an eye on Ronin, Peach & Unicorn but there's nothing that's a proper day 1 get for me.
