Tomb Raider

Anyone else got this?
Seen all the crap that they put Lara through?

I'm loving this game at the moment and even though I do have guns and all that I keep using the Bow as my main weapon

The trailers for this look surprisingly good, but Tomb Raider's never been my sort of thing.

I didn't get on with Uncharted 2.

This is my first ever tomb raider game which I only got because of Uncharted

Finshed it in about 13hrs was really good but mp sucks

Just been playing the Definitive Edition of this on the PS4. Bypassed the PS3 version, so it was all new to me.

Bloody awesome! I loved it so much i 100%'ed it, played it through on easy,normal (til my save corrupted at 64%) and hard. Got to say it didn't seem much more difficult even on hard but i enjoyed the story so much, i'm not particularly bothered. Fabulous stuff, hope there's another in the pipeline as i do like a bit of Lara 

...and the deaths? just brutal!  

Only trouble is, what to play now? Just tried Thief and it seems rubbish by comparison! Slung it.

I think a second is in development.

Seen reviews of Rise of the Tomb Raider pop up today, seems more of the same but now it's Cinematic which you can play, do a Tomb / Puzzle, 3rd Person Combat section where you Mass Murder loads of dudes and repeat.

And that I'm fine with.

That explains why you defend Nathan Drake from Uncharted so much.

Except Lara always has a valid reason to seek what she's seeking, is never the cause of the violence and is visibly upset by what she has to do. She's not a murderer in the sense of Nobhan Dick.

I see no difference as Nate always has a reason as well, yeah in tomb raider (2013) you go from oh I killed a dude I'm so upset to John Rambo over the course of the first game and from reviews of Rise, You can use stealth but Lara is so good at combat that you can just blast your way through all the countless mercs like in Uncharted.

And what I played of Rise at EGX, it was just like an Uncharted in every way including killing lots of dudes but hey Spencer said they wanted a Uncharted type game & that's what they got.
