Happy 2nd Birthday 3DS, vote again

So the wii voting is done, and talks of a new vote has begun primarily about doing genre's again but for the DS.

At the time of the 3DS 2nd birthday i brought up about doing another vote for the 3DS (like last years) which we decided to delay in till wii voting was done and the likes of animal crossing new leaf is out, so is it time to do a vote. I've put a poll up asking if we should do a vote for the 3DS yes or no which will run for 7 day's.  

If yes then be the same voting system as the wii vote.

Plus I think that particularly games like Fire Emblem need a decent amount of time to get played, especially with so much out at the moment for 3DS. It was a similar thing with Kid Icarus last year, so probably best in the drought. Especially as we still have plenty of Wii voting left.

My hype-o-matic 3000 has already selected for me my top 2 of Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem (expect a side of Luigi's Mansion, Mario Tennis and Super Mario 3D Land too).

Yeah...I'm not going to touch this until the summer, be it as the thread maker or as a voter. Too much happening otherwise.

This being here pisses all over the thread idea I had to celebrate two years of the 3DS...

Fine with not voting for now. All the same, a big happy birthday to the 3DS! I've got more than twice the number of retail titles I had at this time last year, and I'd recommend almost all of them (sorry SPM and NSMB2 - actually, I'm not sorry to NSMB2, it knew exactly what it was doing). I've also got a very healthy supply of downloadable titles (he says, downloading HarmoKnight). It's in a very good place now, albeit lacking the sort of wide JRPG support that I loved so much on 3DS, and if the Wii U can pull off the same sort of recovery then I'll be very happy, and so will Nintendo's accountants.

do what you were going to do dusty, i just saw no one had done anuthing and like i said i remember last years vote. i think if we do another vote has to be end month of animal crossing (or two weeks after launch) otherwise we will keep putting it off ane peeps will be like lets wait for pokemon X&Y then it be lets wait for what ever and it be 3 years before you no it.

Happy second birthday to 3DS! It's had a pretty bumpy year in my opinion, but the eShop has been consistently decent over the course of the last twelve months. And now the decent retail titles are slowly trickling back in! 2013 needs further third and first-party support to truly shine.

Nope, that's the one. I enjoyed bits of it, but I couldn't whole-heartedly recommend it. (Sorry nupkin. )

The 3DS game was called Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Hence my confusion.

Nah. Not yet, anyway. There's still a couple of big games to come out very soon (Project X and Mario & Luigi Dream Team being two). Even so, I think we've had enough vote thread stuff for a while, thankyouverymuch.

I know someone mentioned doing one for the DS, and I think for the time being I'd rather do that. With a console that's over and done with, you can do a nice, all encompassing thing that's fairly conclusive, whereas with 3DS you'd have to be doing a new one every year.

Also, some day (probably next year, around the same time Balla did this year, when there's a big games drought) I'd love to do one for just all Nintendo games.

That's kinda the point buskalilly, we would do it again next year then year after etc. A vote of all nintendo would be cool though.

I agree with Buskalilly. There's no reason to vote every year, there's far better things to vote on than the 3DS, like its predecessor as you'd get a much wider range of results.

We have 8 yes and 1 no, but due to the DS vote now starting. I will be not doing the vote that is done and likes of mario & luigi dream team bros coming out.
