| Today I played a bit of Final Fantasy VII - the best game of all time - for thirteen minutes. It was alright - no great shakes. |

| Yeah its up there in most people's eyes with Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid, Super Mario 64, Anything Andy Doesn't like
But it's not even the best Final Fantasy, Nostalgia does play a huge part with Seven because of that scene.
Not saying it's not good and you shouldn't give it more time , but don't think your going to be blown away.

| I hope you do plan to press on with it though Zero - I think you'll take to the game's atmosphere and world design . |

| Square have been having a vote to see if we want moogles in FFXV a game that is meant to be coming in 2016, seems a bit late to see if we want to see if want stuff in the game. |

| There have been a few FF games without Moogles, but not many - there's surely some way to crowbar the little blighters into XV? Square, Square, Square... |

| After the amazing gameplay trailer of FFVII, Square has announced that the game will be episodic.
Squares reason for it, is the scope of the project that there will be DATA issues.
That it's better to split it up according to them.
I can see positives that we may get sooner than we thought and we get the FFVII Square want to make and I like episodic stuff as you wake up one day to find the next episode is there on your PS4.
Negatives is that Episode 1 comes out then we have to wait 6 months for the next one, how many episodes will there be as the game is big. Three would be good that each episode is each disc and cost is the last one could end up costing more than £40-50. |

| But... it's based on a game. A real game. A real complete game. I'm not an RPG fan, but was thinking of jumping in to try the classic. Not now though. Nope. |

| It's an interesting one. I wonder if it's to get something out there whilst the finishing touches are put on FFXV? Or, y'know, the touches at whatever point in the programming they're at with FFXV. |

| There saying each part, it's not episodes it's multiple parts which each will be the size of one game. What game they mean is the question as Journey is 90mins long where Persona 4 is about 70hrs (that's from HTLB).
FFVII is 40hrs that they could do four 10hr parts but I'm hoping it's done as the 3 disc's and each one is £17.99 or season pass is £39.99 or something like that.
I'm with Zero we may get Part 1 sooner then we think and maybe before FFXV and it may even come with a FFXV bonus.
All this does beg the question how big is FFXV as if they can get that on a disc why not FFVII that looks and plays like FFXV from the trailer, if this for DATA reasons etc.
I know games are more impressive now that a remake of FFVII may add loads of hours now just look at Resident Evil the remake added 4hrs on or about 67% on to the game (I think my maths is right the PS1 game was 6hrs the REmake is 10hrs) that if it was the same for FFVII it be be about 67hrs long. |

| If it's reasonably priced, I'm all for it. I'm not wanting to shell out more than £45/50 for it. If they do a season pass like TellTale where you can get the whole thing for a decent price, I'm in. Otherwise, I'll probably wait for it all to come out before purchasing. |

| Triple Combo
There's a FFXV thread elsewhere if you want tot talk about that but not for FFVII Remake which we have some news on the games.
FFVII has been split in to episodes as one game would just be to dam big according to square, well now we know how big a episode will be and each one will be about the same size and scope of FFXIII (Very apt at the moment with Admintedo XIII & that tagline).
Who ever was interviewed went on about XIII and Lightning's story and how the Trilogy was looking at the story at different angles and was sort of unknown for them to do by doing the trilogy, where FFVII preexisting story which they know how to split in to multiple parts basically.
From what we know is FFVII on PS1 is 38.5hrs long over 3 discs. The Thirteen Trilogy is split like this FFXII is 49.5hrs, FFXII-2 is 27hrs and Lightning Returns is 35hrs with a total off 111.5hrs.
I don't know seeing XIII is sort inspiring the Remake of VII that is it going to be about 111.5hrs long and split into a trilogy like XIII with each part being one of the discs of FVVII and around 37hrs to beat.
All I can think is if each part is the size and length of a XIII game at around 37hrs, each part is going to cost a price of a full game which makes the remake rather expensive and the gap between each of the XIII games is two years meaning it could be a while in till we see all of VII Remake out maybe something like 2021.

| So it's basically a different game then. I'm an outsider when it comes to an opinion on this, but... that doesn't sound like that's what fans want. |

| Although Square Enix struggle sometimes with what fans want - remember the countdown that hinted that a new TWEWY might be on the way, but it ended up being for an iOS port of the original? Course you do - messing around with FFVII too much will unleash a cosmos of hurt on them. My Spider-Sense tells me it might be time to batten down the hatches. |

| I'm not sure people would want from a remake of a game that's 20 years old and came out 4 generations ago. What I think it will be is the same music, world, story, character's with added stuff maybe from the expanded universe of VII as how cool would it to play Advent Children.
The only thing is Square has found is away is to make a 38hr game from 1997 much longer and going to milk it for all its worth and sell it to us over several part.
That Balla you maybe not missing anything now or even in the next few years but in 5 years time you may have missed the Remake of FFVII along with FFXV which I'm dam excited about. |
