| Does such a game exist?
Balladeer's excellent Wii countdown thread reminded me of a running conversation a mate and I had at Uni years back - we had such a different taste in games that we couldn't actually come up with many that we both enjoyed.
We've all seen lists for Best Games Ever, Worst Games Ever and Most Overrated Games Ever. More often then not they have titles which appear in all three lists. I know this exists here. For example, I thought Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars was a dismal, depressing experience despite all the critical acclaim from elsewhere. I know andyman doesn't like Sin & Punishment 2, Stu doesn't like Wii Sports, Balladeer doesn't like Sonic The Hedgehog and even on the old place Cube didn't like Super Mario World.
Is there a game that everyone (well, within this post at least) enjoys? Hell, let's try and find ten. I'll list them here, once we get enough approval for those games.
GAMES WE ALL LIKE!
1. Luigi's Mansion 2. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective 3. Xenoblade Chronicles 4. Portal 5. Rayman Legends 6. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker 7. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 8. Crash Bandicoot 3 9. Soul Calibur II 10. Kirby's Epic Yarn 11. Streets of Rage 2 12. Crazy Taxi 13. ChuChu Rocket! 14. Another Code: Two Memories
GAMES WE DON'T ALL LIKE!
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Super Mario World Super Mario 64 Paper Mario Paper Mario & The Thousand Year Door Metroid Prime Pikmin 3 Pokémon Gold & Silver Super Mario Galaxy WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! Super Smash Bros. Melee Eternal Darkness Beyond Good & Evil Tetris Super Mario Bros. 2 Beat The Beat: Rhythm Paradise Super Metroid Sonic Adventure 2 Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Street Fighter II Street Fighter III Street Fighter IV Dead or Alive 2 Fur Fighters Picross 3D Animal Crossing Hotel Dusk Room 215 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater The World Ends With You

| Super Mario Galaxy and its sequels are obvious shoe-ins, as is SM64. Possibly OoT as well: am I correct in thinking that's the only one you like, Phillips? |

| Agreed on the Galaxies, OoT is alright. I'm not much of a fan of Mario World either. What about Super Mario Land 1/2 they're both brilliant right? In fact why not throw in Mario 1 and 3 whilst you're there. |

Agreed on Galaxy, though I seem to recall that a few regulars here were quite disappointed with Galaxy 2. I am certain someone on NGamer didn't like 64, though whether they still post here or not, I don't know. Ocarina of Time is brilliant, in my opinion, though disqualified as andyman's 'it's alright' isn't firm enough to be included in my list. I want total, universal agreement with what's included. I'll throw one into the pot: is there anyone who doesn't enjoy the original WarioWare on GBA/GameCube? |

| Nope, not having SMBs in there. Even if the only reason I don't like 3 was because I was rubbish at it, I still don't like it! I haven't played the WWs (started with Touched!), so I can't comment; but who in the flying heck doesn't like SM64? |

| Warioware is fantastic, that gets a resounding thumbs up from me. |

| Aye I'd be very surprised if no one likes the warioware games. |

If we're going by Phillips's "total, universal agreement", then I'm afraid I may have to interject with an "it's alright". Nowhere near to my favourite Mario game, I can fully understand that it's a good game, I just don't feel the same earth-shattering enjoyment that others do when playing it. |

| I've never played 64, I've played 64DS but my lack of love for N64 games and graphics put me off. The only N64 game I really care for is Paper Mario (though I haven't played too many). |

| Not much of a fan of Mario 64 myself, nor Galaxy 2. I do recognise both to be very good games however. |

| So we've established that Super Mario 64 and Galaxy 2 aren't getting in. Are Galaxy 1, WarioWare and Paper Mario 64 good shouts? I'd certainly include them all. |

| Whilst I've not played WarioWare, I'm happy with Super Mario Galaxy and Paper Mario (though I reckon The Thousand Year Door is even better!). |

| Yes to Paper Mario and yes to TTYD though I thought there is someone that doesn't like that. |

| Galaxy for sure. I'd say Metroid Prime, but masofdas doesn't like that, right? |

| Didn't dislike Prime, but can't say I like it either. It's a thumbs down from me. Ditto The Thousand Year Door.
Is the original WarioWare accepted as being list-worthy? Getting heat.
Did anybody not enjoy the first Super Monkey Ball on the GameCube? |

| I say whack Wario up there until proven otherwise. What's everyones opinion on Chrono Trigger? Is that possible to dislike? |

| Super Metroid? Super Smash Bros Melee might be a good shout too.
Also, never played WW or SMB, so I can't chime in there. |

| YES. It (Chrono Trigger) doesn't stand up well today, or at least it didn't on the DS when I tried it. Happy with SSBM though. |

| I've only played the DS version a year or 2 a go and it was absolutley fantastic (though it did take me a second go to get into it) Melee belongs, I haven't finished Super Metroid yet, but my lack of wanting to go back to it might be saying something. |

| I'll happy thumbs up Wario Ware and Super Metroid, but I would like to finish off Paper Mario on the N64 as Balla said. Dull in comparison with TTYD and musically offensive. |

| WarioWare is up. What a game that was.
Melee is sensational - definitely one of the best on the GameCube. Super Metroid, though I've not played much of it, is clearly a class act and therefore worth consideration. |
