I too loathe phone conversations. I like to speak to people in person, or in internet circles: on a forum. Likewise. Put my phone on silent most the time, unless I'm expecting something. |

| After being questioned by nupkin, I should probably explain the heron thing for any new users. Back when NGamer was NGamer and the forum was part of CVG, it (along with the rest of CVG) came under attack from a spam script. The script generated new accounts, which generated spam topics: the post generated was something to do with a heron, with a sharp beak and a long neck, and if you didn't repost it would come into your kitchen at night and mess up your pots and pans. Also there was one troll account which had a gif of a transexual stripping as its avatar. |

| It would have been funnier if you didn't explain it, and just acted like normal. You could also have done with not reminding me about that avatar. |

| So... have everyone's "online" indicators gone stone-cold stupid? Neither I nor Stu (as far as I know) have been playing about with the scripts, so I'm not entirely sure why that is. I suspect that only Stu can fix it (as site owner, he gets access to the scripts while I don't), but I'll pop him a PM if it doesn't resolve itself. |

It won't be scripts, it'll be layouts/stylesheets. |

| Yeah, it's pushing the avatars forward and messing up the layout. Not as colossal a layout issue as Reggie's massive head, but still kind of annoying. |

| I knows how to fix this, and I will do so come the weekend. I'm more interested in knowing how it's reverted back to how it was. |

Only noticed it on the mobile site if that helps

| The forum emoticon selection doesn't have anything that can accurately match my face right now, so I'll settle for . I hate these things, especially when we (GNamer) aren't trying to make any money out of it. If Forumotion is, though... I'll have a look through the control panel and see if there's an option to deal with the "word links". If I can't find anything, I'll pester Stu. If he can't find anything, we may be stuck with them. The mobile site is hard to tinker with, though: has anyone seen these on the bog-standard site? |
