What do you think of Michael Bay's take on the series?

Love it! Obviously it's never going to touch the comic books in terms of robot characterisation but only an idiot would expect it to. For one, they can't afford to have robots on screen 100% of the time and general audience wouldn't go in for that. But it has its moments; Sentinels fall from grace in the third one, little moments between Ironhide and the others, Optimus' look of dismay when things go wrong. And the whole Sam and Bumblebee relationship will be remembered fondly by a while generation, like Elliott and ET.
But forget all that- Optimus is fighting Megatron and his cronies in the woods and he's all like "I'll take you all on" and his hands turn into swords and then there's the bit where he rips off the Fallen's face and shouts "GIVE ME YOUR FACE" or the bit where he flies in and kills all the bad guys in slow motion...
Yeah, I like them. They're some of the most successful films of all time so they must be doing something right. Any transformers fan who said they didn't at least love the autobot's own bits is a stupid hipster and you have my permission to kick them swiftly in whatever genitals they may possess.

I was never a Transformers fan - probably a little bit before my childhood - so the Bay films were a mixed bag for me. The first one was a surprising summer blockbuster treat, second one was passable (explosions and robots and Megan Fox, all still good) but I did not like the third one in any way.

I hated that part and I own the largest collection of preserved animal genitals in the known world. Your move, Buskalilly.

Neither of the lead women in the Transformers film franchise up to press have been attractive to me. Also, if I hadn't been in the cinema with friends I would have walked out of the third one. Appalling stuff.

I'm surprised by all the hard for the third one. I thought it held together as a film in its own right much better than the second. I'm hardly impartial though, I saw it at the pictures four times. :s

So is anyone looking forward to Bay's turtles film then especially as meagan fox is in it as april, which to me is disappointing as it should of been a redhead or at least someone that could pull it off like emma stone maybe.

Ooh, Emma Stone would've been good. For some reason I can really see Emma Watson as April O'Neill. I'm not too worried about it. I like the turtles but I'm not attached to them like I am transformers. Also, is not really Bay's. He's just producing. Like how the first transformers film had Spielberg's name all over it.

There's a new Power Rangers coming soon called Super Megaforce and will have classic Rangers Including the Legend which is Jason David Frank reprising his role as Tommy Oliver in Green / White Ranger form.

So like a whole series of forever red? That actually sounds pretty cool, I'll probably watch a few. Does anyone else have love film instant? They recently add all the power ranger shows so I'm making my way through them on there.

The first 4 or 5 series of the original "The Real Ghostbusters" were brilliant, I watched a fair few of them last year after 'acquiring' said series on my PC, and they still made me chuckle with the odd line that I get now, but as a kid I'd have shrugged off.
Some of the stories were quite serious/scary for a kids show (see the armageddon by musical instrument episode, or the one where Egon's soul gets ripped out of him and replaced by a demon after an "accident") too, looking back.
Who ya gonna call?
