To explain to anyone really confused - ages ago on NGamer we had a spambot attack and all they posted was that bloody heron text. And it's inexplicably hilarious.

...except for the bit where they posted an unpleasantly pornographic .gif as their avatar.

...oh. Forgot about that.
Who was on the mod team at that time? Was it Stu? All I remember is the heron posting in stupidly old threads.

Seconding this. I don't know about the rest of you, but the past couple of days on the forum have been a blast and it's likely no coincidence that it's happened with the arrival/rearrival of two new folks.

Yep, would be great to have some new members (especially some so buzzing with activity as yourself, Darren). Especially in this, the Year of Luigi the NX.

Incidentally, the book I'm currently writing has a main character named Darren, which makes this all a bit odd for me. Nobody's ever called you "Dazzhands", have they DarrenK? (She's also a girl.)

I understand the small tight-knit community, which is why I thought aiming towards fans of the original NGamer magazine or ONM, etc. People from the UK too would also be nice to find. I guess using social media for people who mention the mag, or track down old members of the original forums perhaps?

We did reach out to folks who were still kicking about on the old NGamer forum, but we may have missed some. I suppose Dead Lemon's return last year is proof of that!

Just friends in general as we have invited a few like Muss where's he to, Drunka to come to the good ship GNamer, we don't just talk Nintendo as you see but that's the clue that holds us together.
