| We have a 6th Gen Thread, So I thought we should have a 5th gen one as-well which is the following consoles 3DO, CD32, Pippin, Jaguar & CD, Nintendo 64 & 64DD, Neo Geo CD, PC-FX, Playdia, PlayStation, Saturn, Virtual Boy (if it's a console not a handheld).

| Is this part of your never-ending mission to have a thread on everything? There's already threads on here that are sorely underused for the best of these consoles, and if anyone wanted a conversation about The Pippin (whatever the f**k that is) it would have happened by now. Let's do more with the threads that are already here rather than consign them to the past. |

| Yep and there's no PS1 thread and no one ever part from me goes into the SEGA section to talk about the Saturn. I didn't make a 3rd gen as I see we all ready have a NES topic and the other systems of that gen are kinda crap. Here's the Pippin which was from Apple. |

| Fair enough! I started buying some PS1 games earlier this year, but after the Steam Summer Sale I've been neck-deep in PC gaming. Got plenty of classics to work my way through - can't wait to tuck into Guilty Gear. |

| Never got into guilty gear which is surprising as I'm a big fighting fan, with likes of tekken 3 , king of fighters 95, killer instinct gold. |

| I've also got Soul Edge, KoF and the first three Tekken games on PS1. Tekken 3 is my second-favourite fighting game of all time. |

| Street Fighter IV is! Played literally about a hundred hours of that online with a bunch of folk from NGamer on 360. |

| Boo Street Fighter, King of Fighters is the better of the two classic more realistic fighters.
Also fighters is the one genre I think age and graphics don't make a difference, KOF 95 on the saturn's mechanics are just as good as today's. |

| I'd both agree and disagree with you there. I think 2D fighters don't age as badly as 3D fighters - Tekken 3 being the exception, natch - as I find the first 2 Tekken games to be clunky as hell now. |

| I've not played Tekken 2 for awhile but used to be great. I know the 3D fighters I own on the 6th gen hold up well. |

| Go back and give it a bash - you'll find it to be a lot clunkier than you remember, especially if you go and try Tekken 3 afterwards. |

| So shall I lock the fourth gen. thread and change the title of this to a PS discussion thread, to maintain focus? |

| I've been talking about the saturn as that was the place to play 2D fighters balla. So think the title should stay the same.
Not sure about 4th gen thread as Rattlecat, Zero & even 2grundies (due to age) might re-reply. |

| I just used as reason why you might come to the 5th gen thread. I could do a 1st gen thread for you and we can talk about Pong and Magnavox Odyssey.
Also I'm looking at getting another Saturn what do you guy's think, local indy store has some good games in stock like Nights into Dreams, House of the Dead, Magic Carpet, Daytona but nothing special though. |

| We better not talk about those and confuse them any more TCK didn't even no what a Pippin is. So not sure if we should talk about Odyssey^2 & likes of Fairchild from the 2nd gen of console. They might know the 2600 though. |

No, you're right. Best to stick to topic. |

| I'm with TCK on this multiple threads like this steps on the toes of others like this one can possible take away from folk posting in the N64 discussion thread.
You're basically covering too many bases in one thread. |

| See I'm trying to get it all in one place, so we don't have a ps1, ps2, cube, saturn and so on threads. |

| I think this should be renamed to a PS1 discussion topic, considering that's basically what the majority of posts are in here.
Also, that comment about people not knowing obscure consoles... you can't blame people for not knowing an obscure Apple console from the 90s, I've never heard of the Pippin before in my life. |
