| Just shipped off my votes. I had an easy ten, with a few games I enjoyed not making the cut. I've bought and finished quite a few games on the Wii U. I honestly don't think its lacked for great titles at all. |

You were pretty enthusiastic about NSMBU back at launch, if I recall. I've personally filed it under 'M' for 'Meh'... though it may make my list by default. |

| I decided not to put 3d world on my list as felt it may unfairly run away with it stealing the limelight others may deserve. |

I still am pretty enthusiastic about it! I don't know why it felt so much better than the three NSMBs before it, but it did. Much more World than Bros.; or at least, more Bros. 3, without the bloody sun. |

Quoting Balla, quoting me... it's all gone a bit Being John Malkovich over here! Eight votes so far, with twenty-seven games on the list. |

| Votes sent, I struggled to narrow it down a bit after the top 5 and featured a game I'm sure nobody else voted for. |

| Here we go! - Tenth Place:
10. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate(31 points, 5 voters, 0 first places) (Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate also takes the Biggest Timesink Award) Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ussI5SUwjiE Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WwyNSB7mVU Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/monster-hunter-3-ultimate andyman949 said: Whilst not the prettiest game on Wii U it is certainly one of the most fun. Took Tri, added a far better connection to the internet, gamepad typing and more monsters to hunt! I could keep playing this game forever (or until the next home console version of MH) Only reason this misses my top spot is it was a tad familiar. The_Jaster said: I've logged over 300 hours on this, definitely not an easy game to get into but if you give it a decent amount of time & it clicks into place? there is no game that's more rewarding than MH. Buskalilly said: My first bite of Monster Hunter, and all I can say is SO TASTY! To say I've barely scraped the surface would be barely scraping the surface of how barely I've scraped the surface, but this is a huge and fun world of brilliant monsters and addictive gameplay which, if I could only find the time, I could absolutely lose myself in. Considering how little has been announced that I want to play in the first half of next year, I can see this being all I play on my Wii U and 3DS for the first six months of 2014. I say: Whilst not being the biggest fan of Monster Hunter, I'll let you in on a secret: I've always wanted to be able to get into it. It must be awesome to take down massive beasties with on-line friends, or slowly improve what you can do and how you do it in the single player. One day I'll return to the Wii game, which sits sadly underused on my shelf, and make a decent fist/sword/bow of it. My experience of actual MH3U is limited to about ten minutes at a StreetPass Manchester event - at any rate, it's a worthy game to kick off the GNamer Forum Wii U First Birthday Vote!
- Ninth Place:
9. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed(37 points, 9 voters, 0 first places, 1 voter played on an alternative format) (Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed also wins the Best Kart Racer Award) Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CU3CDOK2Ag Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKDBrLQDd0Y Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/sonic-all-stars-racing-transformed Jolly Smurf said: Mario Kart 8 will have a lot to live up to, an incredibly fine tuned racing game that was great in multiplayer but could have done with some more Sega love. Stu_the_great said: A cracking port of a good sequel. Not quite as pure as the original game in my opinion, but a cracking arcade racer nonetheless with buckets of replay value and a satisfying upgrade system. Wreck It Ralph's inclusion, keeping in context of the film's story was an excellent bit of licencing, too. Axis1500 said: Not Mario Kart but a good substitute. I say: You can only echo smurfy's comment - Mario Kart 8 will have to pull something special out of the bag to beat this. Fast, beautiful, a huge amount of content to unlock and sheer fun. I found the game for something ridiculously cheap in HMV and thought, "Why not?" It blew me away. The transformations were well-handled, changing the game just enough each time, and the changing tracks were outstanding. The weapons were a bit hit and miss (arf) and there were some obscene difficulty spikes (the main reason I traded it in, sadly) but it still sets a fine standard.
Right, now, results will become more weirdly timed as the days go by. I'll aim to have them up for or around 6pm during the week, with eighth and seventh tomorrow. A huge thank you to all the voters - thirteen of us by the end (including me). You're the best!

| Woo, it's happening! Not that I've ever played either of those two: I've sworn off MH for reasons relating to its award, and I'm afraid my bias against Sonic has driven me away from S&ASRT. The latter does sound great though, and I bet it didn't include Grumble Volcano. |

There's bucketloads of variety in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, so it's pretty easy to forget about one particular franchise. It's like Smash Bros. in racing game form. It's great to see Sonic place ninth! I think the insane difficulty spikes are part of the Sonic Racing experience. Some of the missions (particularly a time trial as Opa Opa in the original game) are mental but extremely satisfying to master. One of the flying missions in the sequel took me about an hour to beat, but it's great when you can feel yourself gradually getting better and better. |
