| So after initially thinking the price was a bit much I took a punt on this & it's good stuff, basically it's like Warioware for NES games so anyone else intrigued by this? |

| This is bloody brilliant! It channels the spirit of early WarioWare, and integrates it with aspects of both the challenge mode of New Super Mario Bros U and the difficulty of New Super Luigi U. This is really good, creative stuff. |

| Judging from the few seconds I've just had with it, NES Remix is good. Very good. Critics may view it as a cynical advert for the Virtual Console but it is very much its own beast. Recommended. |

| This game is made by Indieszero - the same people that made Retro Game Challenge for the DS. Suddenly, everything becomes clear. |

| I will be downloading it at some-point as I have that fiver to come from Nintendo via premium service. That will be my second £5 that means I've spent over £100 on downloads. |

| Genius of Nintendo to release it as soon as it's announced, Apple-style.
As a result I caved in today without even bothering to wait for impressions or reviews to crop up. It's lovingly made, though I can't help but feel me playing these NES classics to death over a portion of the last two decades has led to diminishing returns setting in -- a lot of the early challenges just aren't fun and feel like they outstay their welcome.
The remixes, on the other hand, are amazing. I'm hoping the later ones do more to use your knowledge of the games against you, but I've certainly enjoyed the silliness of some of the ones I've played so far. |

| Did I say this was good stuff? It's absolutely fantastic! Oh & how clever of them to link to a VC games page when you click the e shop icon this could bump up VC sales a bit with folk who got NES remix but haven't played the original games before. |

| A few years a go I had a conversation with my sister that essentially went "Hey, you know, there should be a version of WarioWare that is basically just the 9-Volt bits, but a bit more in-depth". And here we are. Awesomes. |

| Oh look, Jim Sterling gave NES Remix a 4/10 and called it a 'cold-hearted cash grab, seemingly spat out just so the Wii U has something on its eShop this holiday season. A stuttering, stunted selection of nothingness.' I won't give you the link as it would be an insult to your intelligence to read it. I didn't realise it was his review until I started reading it and just stopped immediately.
Sterling is the worst thing in gaming reviews on the internet. He is just a troll. |

| I find Jim Sterling to be very hit and miss. He's got some great views on videogaming and manages to articulate them well - however, saying that NES Remix is a cold hearted cash-grab is cruel. From what I've seen of it, it seems to be a harmless enough tribute to the NES. Bit much to be bashing it like that, Jim. |

I just can't bring myself to read a single thing he writes. He may write the occasional nugget, but I refuse to sift through the giant pile of excrement to find it. He is the worst kind of attention seeker, much like Pachter, who I also refuse to read. |

| To be fair, on the same day he was rejoicing over Hyrule Warriors. He may be an attention-grabber, but I don't think he's anti-Nintendo or whatever. |

| He's anti-everything.
He's part of that horrible movement of gamers who aren't happy unless they're telling themselves how terrible and broken they are- everything is some Great Failing Of All Of Games and not just, y'know, a difference of opinion or an isolated screwup.
TBH I don't think he's trolling as much as he has convinced himself that his position is to moan- and while, in much the same way as a stopped clock is right twice a day, occasionally he'll uncover some legitimate criticism (albeit usually in a massively overexaggerated way) the bulk of what he has to say is finding fault, not highlighting it. |
