| Light never gets better, but the show is actually a lot lighter ( ) in tone than that one episode normally. That was a particularly hard episode to swallow, even for me, in fact I sometimes skip it when I rewatch the series. |

| Yeah, but however much lighter it gets, it's still got a tosspot who does that merrily as the main character, not dying for an entire series. |

| Watch NoragamiWhy should I watch Noragami Athrun?Because it's awesome. Seriously though, it really is. The story centres around "hobo" stray god Yato, self-proclaimed "delivery god" who will do anything you ask for a five yen coin. With plans to build a shrine and become the most worshipped god in Japan. He doesn't undertake this alone however, he has two companions. Yukine, his Regalia/Shinki. A young teenage boy spirit Yato found and made his parter/weapon, the bare blade Sekki, with whom he slays "Phantoms", or Ayakashi. Yukine soon learns the troubles that face being a spirit, living in a world you are completely unseen and unheard in. Hiyori, a girl who can somehow see and remember her encounters with gods and spirits better than normal people after having her soul knocked out of her body by a truck slamming in to her. She hangs around with Yato because of the promise to fix her he made. Animated by Bones, best known for their two adaptations of Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Eater. The setting itself is a refreshing mix of fantasy and modern day Japan, a world where gods exist unseen by normal people, yet also protected from the perils they never even see. Those perils being Phantoms, manifestations of human negative human emotions. This blend of supernatural action and character drama allows for a oft-surprisingly human story to take place, with Bones bringing their forte of expressive comedy faces and well animated fight sequences out to round out the package. Help make Yato's dream a reality, join the worshippers of Yato today! Seriously though, this series is SO slept on and doesn't get any of the love it deserves. If you like your anime to have cool slick action, outragous and loveable characters, and cool character arcs then this is a must watch. Easily the best action series I've seen in years, and yes, I'm including series like the much raved about Attack on Titan with that statement! |

| Danganronpa 3 has started!!
Anybody who's either played the two Danganronpa games or watched a LP of them, GET ON THIS SHOW NOW! It's the only place you'll get the conclusion to the overarcing storyline of the series! |

| Yes I'm watching this. It's good stuff, but as I said elsewhere, either this is getting a bit predictable, or my name's Nostradamus. I'm also watching Ace Attorney. Despite the remarkably similar subject matter (murders), very tonally different. |

| Haven't seen episode 4 yet since Animelab hasn't updated for today yet, I'm guessing the "twist" is - Spoiler:
Wheelchair girl showing her true colours though. Not a really well kept secret though, she's literally the only person who could've done the first murder and done the knife trick unless Asahina's requirement is to fake her own death before the sleeping gas hit.
Still the games were pretty light on big twists until the end, and the first case in both were fairly predictable so I'm holding out till we get closer to the end. You making sure to watch the Danganronpa 2 prequel, aka Side Despair, swapping between the two series every episode as well? Speaking of the Side Despair that's been pretty gut punching last episode. - SUPER SPOILERS FOR THE DANGANRONPA 2 GAME AND EPISODE 3 OF SIDE DESPAIR:
The final meeting between Chiaki and Hinata before he becomes Kamukura was a severe dose of feels.
Honestly I'm enjoying the prequel more than the main series right now, although it's very clear that the two shows are going to tie in to events happening in each one at some point in a big way. The boxing guy is easily the worst character. Hoping he dies fairly soon. An absolute tosser in both series. Been watching Tales of Zestiria as well. So far it's really good. Like, legit really good. I was mostly watching that out of curiosity to compare it to the game and see some of Ufotable's absolutely stunning animation, but instead it's looking like a really top notch fantasy series in its own right instead. |

| I mean yep, that was pretty obvious, but it went a bit further than that and I predicted where it went too. 'Cause I'm just that good. I'm presuming it's not as simple as it seems though. I don't even thinking of the boxing guy as a character, he's just a tool (like Peko wanted to be but wasn't), so my least favourite actual "characters" remain the cloying couple. Although Anime-tor needs to do something fast before I get sick of him. - Also (early death spoilers):
The weird racist stereotype who got killed off early on, thus fulfilling full-on tokenism. Oh Japan.
And yup I'm watching 'em both. Holy crap Gundam with actual scary animals. I agree that it's all been pretty good stuff that series, with the exception of the BLOODY FANSERVICE SCENE. Fercryingoutloud. |

| Ah, good that they got that reveal over with! - Spoilers!:
I'm still not convinced she's the main culprit though, if only because it's way too early for that sort of thing.
Nice to see boxer douche taken down a few pegs. Cool episode, light on the twists if only because that end reveal was kind of obvious. Nice to see some of the other characters get a little bit of fleshing out, I hope to see more of that in Side Despair. - Side Despair possible spoiler speculation:
About the animator, I'm still not sold it's actually him. He was an imposter in the game, who's to say he ain't playing that role right now?
Just a random thought that occurred to me that probably should've occurred to me a lot sooner. |

| NAGITO KOMAEDA EPISODE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! As expected of the best character in the franchise!
And so the show continues its journey to its destination, which feels as unidentifiable as ever yet somehow inexorably inevitable at the same time. |

| It'd be hilarious if - speculation spoilers:
Nagito ends up being the "mastermind" from his coma somehow. Its become more and more clear his luck gets him what he wants, but only through absolute chaos for everyone else.
Either way Nagito remains best character! Speaking of Nagito, been replaying Danganronpa 2 and I have to say I'm noticing how nuts the guy is from the word go. Initially he just seems way too laid back, but knowing his true colours a lot of the stuff he's been saying makes me go "wow there chill a bit!" - Side Despair spoilers:
The game hinted at it but the anime made it even clearer, Nagito wasn't nuts because of despair, the guy was just nuts as his factory default!

| DoPo, but the Hope arc has just reached what I presume must be its halfway point, and S**T'S GOING DOWN SON! - Do not open unless entirely caught up with DR3 to Hope Arc Episode 6:
Hello Hajime... er, Izuru? You're interesting.
Also, much though I liked the chemist, I'm very glad that Smithy has gone. Really don't feel they made enough of his talent, sadly - but he was boring as all heck and will be missed by precisely nobody bar his suspicious-as-all-heck girlfriend.
And hello fluffy Togami! Also Hagakure has levelled up.
Also the AA anime has reached the circus case. It's slightly less obnoxious than in the games, apart from Galactica who is beyond saving. |

| Feels. Feels overload. Predictability doesn't make it hurt any less! - Future Side Episode 5 spoilers:
So I guess that makes Munakata the traitor? I'm not convinced it's by will though, no, he's just going along rather than doing the right thing and offing himself because he believes killing the traitor at any cost is worth killing literally everyone there. Because he's an ass.
Did I mention he's an ass? Because he is. A big flabby smelly one that hasn't been cleaned for several weeks.

- Spoiler:
Too generous. Nagito was a complex and fascinating character, Munakata's just an ass so bloody minded he can't even see how his methods will only create more Despair members.
An ass I will relish seeing die, especially in my current foul mood.
Ooh boy, beginning of the end is right! - Despair episode 5 spoilers:
So all the cards are now in place, Hinata's conversion is complete and the lovely Junko Enoshima is about to make her school debut. Next episode hype!! Nice to see Mukuro get a bit of screentime as herself.
OH BOY! Those last five minutes, my hype is reaching critical levels! - Future Spoilers:
Second best character finally makes his return! Those warships have no idea what they're getting themselves in to, the eyes man, the eyes! Kamukura is back!

| New Despair episode out, a lot of inevitable stuff and one really unexpected one that has some repercussions for Side Future. OP got changed up slightly too. - Actual Despair 6 spoilers, you've been warned:
Junko was at her crazy best today, I guess you could say she was eye-catching!
Her meeting with Kamukura went about as expected, didn't make it any less good to watch mind you. Didn't expect her to get her hooks in to him quite that quickly though, he was out of the pod, what, less than a day?
Ryota is now prime suspect as traitor. If he doesn't get corrupted I'll be very surprised. Nice to see that the series are going to be going both ways in regards to events affecting one another.
Looking forward to Hinata / Kamukura pwning the fleet in a few days.

| - Either that:
...or he'll save everybody. Presumably then Monaca was doing the murders, so that she'll be caught and Mitarai will go free to do her bidding.
Also Chisa had the potential to be a really cool female character, were it not for her being besotted with Munakata. Which is an ongoing anime trope that I'm not keen on, a woman's personality only being as strong as her man. See also: Attack on Titan's Mikasa.

| - Can't say I think :
he'll not be completely corrupted by her. Junko's analytical skills will allow her to make him putty. He seems the sort of guy waiting for something like that, and they don't get much more sickeningly charming and charismatic than Junko!
Having said all that this being Danganronpa there could be some twist still to come. Still, I've always wondered how Junko got the platform she did to do the conversion of a population, Ryota and his animation skills would make sense in her schemes.
Either way that meeting will surely play a big role to come. I never did trust him though, the way he keeps clinging to Kirigiri just keeps striking me as suspicious. True it might just be what it appears, harmless lost dog syndrome, but I simply don't trust him. Or didn't, saying I don't trust him should go without saying after this episode!
Argh the wait for the next future episode is painful! So many questions that I want answered! |

| Isn't it supposed to be Despair Girls-centric? Might just postpone it while I play the game. Which is a moderately disturbing blast I might add, the gameplay isn't great but the chemistry between Fukawa and Komaru is fantastic! |

| ~ Blood, blood, glorious blood~ - Future & Despair EP 7 spoilers:
Nagito cameo was great. Loved Kamukura's "you can't possibly defeat me" line, so cheesy yet soooo cooool! Junko's evilness remains as delicious and glorious to watch as ever.
Future arc's ep was kinda fun given I've been playing Despair Girls (thank god they avoided the temptation to troll us with Junk Monokuma jump scares), loved Monaka's fourth wall break surrender. Can't help but feel we haven't seen the last of her though, maybe for Hope's Peak but who's to say she won't pop up in V.3?
Feeling a wee bit trolled with the lack of Kamukura v Fleet of course, I can only assume the events at Jabberwock island are going to be big and couldn't have been split with the Despair Girls episode.
Also Scout guy just became my number one suspect over that creepy as hell remark about marrying Kirigiri. If he isn't the mastermind he's sure as heck going to try something nasty, mark my words.

| Oh. Oh yeah. I've seen some frames on the Internet, and that's more than enough for me. Cripes. - Back to DR3:
I seem to be the only person I know who's affected so strongly by that last Despair episode. Meanwhile the last Hope episode was a pretty lively jaunt, despite the one death. Don't understand the whole 'I am... a detective' bit though.

it was hardcore sure, but we already knew it was going to happen thanks to Hajime's trip round Hope's Peak at the end of Dangan 2. Besides there's worse to come, we've still got the mass suicide of the Reserve Course to go!
