I was obviously on another planet when I typed these up last night, because I've just corrected about a billion mistakes. 

Congrats to the Wii U! Even though I don't have a Wii U (yet) I really enjoyed observing that thread. Plus, it's a ready made list of what to buy for when I do pick myself up a Wii U.

I was very very close to voting for the GNamer RPG - that was some of the best fun I've had on this place. Speaking of which... we've been stuck dormant in that dungeon for some time... *cough*Balla*cough*

Well done to Zero for his thread, and thank you to the people who voted for both the Wii thread and Admintendo!  No thanks to Seymour for guilt-tripping me... again.  

I'll give some more credit to the Secret Santa, too.  I was thinking in terms of threads and presentation, but had I just been thinking of the quality of the event, that would definitely have got my vote!  Brilliant idea from Buskalilly, that one.

Also, weren't there four GNamerites at HJ?  Fronky, ZJ, beemoh and myself?  Meaning that the voter should have met three... Another great event I overlooked, there.

"New". One of them had already met Fronk at Eurogamer the year prior.

Voting threads definitely much deserved. I've loved them all. I've also loved the admintendos but picking just one would've been so tough!

Well maybe if you'd all bought better gifts, I'd have gotten more votes?  
Actually, I'd forgotten all about secret Santa when I voted in this topic! It wasn't necessarily all that fun as a forum thread, and it would've been weird to vote for in February.
Glad to see a voting thread take the top spot, I really enjoyed even the ones I forgot to vote in and hope to see more in this year.

... on a serious note, the voting threads have been an iterative process, I reckon. Balla set the bar stunningly high with the Wii vote - and worked far harder than I did, up to getting Matthew Castle and Chris Scullion to contribute! - which Jay took on with the DS vote (and he also did much more work than me). Huge thanks to them both for blazing the trail, as well as Cap and Mas with the Mario and Console voting threads respectively. It was fun to do and I'm pleased that people enjoyed it this much. 

Agreed that the voting threads in general have been brilliant. That said, five in one year? Phew.
