Trine 2 patch UP NOW!

The long awaited patch for Trine 2 which corrects the brightness, adds pro controller and voice chat support is due next week. UP NOW!!!!!

Looking forward to this! We were arranging on-line co-op for this at the Old Place, and I'd like to get that started. Yes!

Voice Chat? I could get behind this. Will have to pick up a headset though - anyone got any recommendations?

The GamePad has a microphone but I suppose you're right, a headset will be better. More epxense - bums!

Shouting into the GamePad will probably net some funny/worried looks from family and housemates, though.

I haven't managed to get into Trine 2 properly yet. Not that I'm surprised with myself.

Finally! It's a shame we never did try co-op over the winter break due to the delayed patch, but hopefully we can get a few games going now.

I bought the official Wii U stereo headset in preparation for this (£6 in GAME, reduced from £20)

And the patch fixes the overly bright gamma setting, so everything will look even more beautiful! Brilliant.

The pad does have a headphone socket, right? (No, you're too lazy to get up and have a look). You should be OK then; you shouldn't need to shout into the pad, unless you've got really long arms or something.

I'd love to play with you guys, but I promised a family member we'd do a local co-op go, unless anyone wants to play with my mum (DO NOT SAY WHAT YOU ARE THINKING OF SAYING)

Yup it does, awkwardly it resides on the top next to the charge port.

Well, the patch has just installed itself, and things do look somewhat better on the title screen. Looking forward to organising some co-op!

I finished this yesterday, if you can happily ignore the predictable story & cheesy voice acting you will still have fun with the puzzles and the hack 'N' slash combat.

The only thing I'd add is more boss battles.

Puzzles? That's a bit of an overstatement

what else would you call them?

If there's anyone interested in co-op, I'd be happy to participate! The only thing I haven't tried yet is the on-line business.

I'm still really not as sold on this as I should be.

That's the dialogue, but the gameplay's much more subtle. Whenever goblins appear, you have to switch to the Knight and hammer the attack button. Then you have to create lots of boxes with the Wizard, and jump up them with the Thief. Repeat until end game.
