| And kinda filler. And kinda tripe. Still, it does have one of my favourite tunes in the game. Plus: a brilliant special guest. |

| - Case 3:
I've just got to Investigation Day 2. It's all a little bit serious at the moment! Also, I swore that Mr. Ihmus was going to turn out to be Larry Butz. Can't wait to carry on with it.

| A lot of people have made that comparison, Zero. A lot of people. Speaking of which, the (proper canon) DLC is out today! Definitely up for a bit more of this. |

| Interested in how the DLC case plays out, Balla - do let us know how that rolls. As for myself, I'm dealing with the twists and turns(about) of Case 3 Trial Day 2. It's shaping up to be a great case. |

| They've shoe-horned a lot of fanservice into this one - good fanservice, like Edgeworth and Wright bickering like an old married couple, not Recipe for Turnabout-style fanservice. It's fun. Good villain too. |

| I'm glad I'll have not only the Spirit of Justice DLC case but Dual Destinies' DLC case to tuck into after I've wrapped up playing through the main cases.
Speaking of which, I'm not too far behind Zero as I'm wrapping up Day Two's investigation for Case Three. The investigations in this are leaps and bounds better than previous games in the series - I don't know if it's the simple change of having a check mark next to things you've already examined or if the writing is a lot snappier, but I'm not finding myself barrelling through the investigation scenes to get back into court. |

| Double post, but how good was Case Three?! - Case Three Spoilers:
The investigation scenes were great, I felt a bit sorry for the culprits, and putting the boot into Sahdmadhi and Rayfa was incredibly satisfying. Looking forward to the resolution of all this rebellion threadline, and I'm very interested to learn more about Sahdmadhi and Apollo's relationship.

| 'Very' is the quick answer to that. - Case 3:
Just the right length, with a good amount of drama, both inside the courtroom and moving the overall arc on too. I agree with everything you said about it, Jayseph!
However, unless Case 4 has a lot more to it that's itching to be unveiled, it's a bit of a drop in quality. |

| Yep, that seems to be the case thus far - it's the filler case though, so I guess it's to be expected. Having said that, I don't mind having a filler case here, as I feel I need the breather after Case Three! |

| Case 3 is a blinder, names aside. Case 4 does have one strong positive - let me know when you spot it! |

| Case 4 is now over in my playthrough - the best way to describe it for me is that it petered in. It won't trouble my top five best or worst cases, and some of the music reminded me of Legend of the Mystical Ninja, but never mind that: it's time for Case 5! |

| - Case 4:
He did a good job. Intetesting choice of assistant - and case, for that matter. It felt like an idea that had been abandoned from DD but resurrected for this. A few more days of work on it and it could have been a great case.
- Massive spoilers for Case 5:
Pearl though!

| You know what I really liked about the first half of Case 5? - Spoiler:
Just standing in Kurain Village, enjoying the scenery, listening to the digitised birds. Very nostalgic! Also: Sergeant Buff's reveal.

| Glad to hear it sir! How did you find Case 5-2? In particular, how did you find the overall villain? |

| After having spent the day trying to remember 5-2 ( ), I've just managed it. It was a pretty good case, all told, with two interesting twists that I managed to figure out ahead of time, even. - Overall villain and general:
I think I'm happy with her being the villain. There were those obvious signs pointing to the Justice Minister so I'm pleased it was not he. Once she shed her ceremonial robe, though, it was just like Jay described in that one podcast: it was plain that she was the perp. That's less appealing... though there were some well-disguised killers in there too.
I like how it closes Apollo's arc, though needed a massive injection of his back story to do so. 'Spirit Of Justice' indeed!

| - One could still argue...:
...that the Justice Minister still takes the top villainy spot, given that he KILLED DHURKE . I'm still kinda unhappy that they didn't pull a Dahlia and make Amara the villain: it was a little obvious from the moment she went fanservice that Garan was the baddie. At the same time, it's nice having a prosecutor being the antagonist again: correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the first time since the original.
Also you can respond to my latest music 'week' now. |

| The DLC case is certainly fun, bizarre, and heaped with the kind of fanservice Balla mentioned earlier: not boobage (although one could argue that one of the returning characters is very much a boob) but a couple of big returning characters. Just on the preliminary chat phase of Trial Day 1. I need to finish it so that I can get round to other games: my AA addiction is too strong. |

| Finished the DLC case, so I'm finally free! It was just like the previous such case - reasonable without being stellar. The quality of the main game was higher, let's say. |

| I'd agree, but I felt this one benefited from a bit of Edgewright bickering. And of course the fandoms' shippers went crazy... All on you now Jay! No pressure... |
