Ace Attorney - Spirit Of Justice (AA6)

I've just hit the 4th case which I hear is kinda short?

And kinda filler. And kinda tripe.

Still, it does have one of my favourite tunes in the game. Plus: a brilliant special guest.

A lot of people have made that comparison, Zero. A lot of people.

Speaking of which, the (proper canon) DLC is out today! Definitely up for a bit more of this.

Interested in how the DLC case plays out, Balla - do let us know how that rolls.

As for myself, I'm dealing with the twists and turns(about) of Case 3 Trial Day 2. It's shaping up to be a great case.

They've shoe-horned a lot of fanservice into this one - good fanservice, like Edgeworth and Wright bickering like an old married couple, not Recipe for Turnabout-style fanservice.  It's fun. Good villain too.

I'm glad I'll have not only the Spirit of Justice DLC case but Dual Destinies' DLC case to tuck into after I've wrapped up playing through the main cases.

Speaking of which, I'm not too far behind Zero as I'm wrapping up Day Two's investigation for Case Three. The investigations in this are leaps and bounds better than previous games in the series - I don't know if it's the simple change of having a check mark next to things you've already examined or if the writing is a lot snappier, but I'm not finding myself barrelling through the investigation scenes to get back into court.

Yep, that seems to be the case thus far - it's the filler case though, so I guess it's to be expected. Having said that, I don't mind having a filler case here, as I feel I need the breather after Case Three!

Case 3 is a blinder, names aside. Case 4 does have one strong positive - let me know when you spot it!

Case 4 is now over in my playthrough - the best way to describe it for me is that it petered in. It won't trouble my top five best or worst cases, and some of the music reminded me of Legend of the Mystical Ninja, but never mind that: it's time for Case 5!

Wow, what a conclusion. Naturally, the only thing to do now is download the DLC case and get stuck into that. TAKE THAT!

Glad to hear it sir! How did you find Case 5-2? In particular, how did you find the overall villain?

After having spent the day trying to remember 5-2 ( ), I've just managed it. It was a pretty good case, all told, with two interesting twists that I managed to figure out ahead of time, even.

The DLC case is certainly fun, bizarre, and heaped with the kind of fanservice Balla mentioned earlier: not boobage (although one could argue that one of the returning characters is very much a boob) but a couple of big returning characters. Just on the preliminary chat phase of Trial Day 1.

I need to finish it so that I can get round to other games: my AA addiction is too strong.

Finished the DLC case, so I'm finally free! It was just like the previous such case - reasonable without being stellar. The quality of the main game was higher, let's say.

I'd agree, but I felt this one benefited from a bit of Edgewright bickering. And of course the fandoms' shippers went crazy...
