| To be fair most shows do get cancelled... Literally the only exception is The Big Bang Theory and that SHOULD have been cancelled after the pilot. Maybe before the pilot... |

| Big Bang Theory is brilliant hence why still going, well most shows do come to a proper end like breaking bad not just cancelled like firefly. |

I have seen that, I enjoyed it but I don't think I seen a full season of it. --- I really don't understand the appeal of big bang theory, there are so many more recent sitcoms that deserved to be still going over that stereotypical mess. Things like Happy endings & Bored to death. |

Things like Happy endings & Bored to death. There's only one season of Tru Calling, it just came up a few times looking for dollhouse, serenity stuff on Amazon as recommendation. Never heard of either of those two shows Jas you bring up, Didn't My Name is Earl go on for a while though, beemoh. I did like raising hope though, I don't get the stereotypical bit of big bang as if it was stereotypical wouldn't all the characters be single & living with there parents. I know the owner of krackers where I got the graphic novels from which started all this, is pleased that big bang & marvel films being more mainstream & it's okay to be a nerd/geek etc as he now has people that would never go into his shop but now do as it's seen more of a mainstream normal thing. |

It did, but it was still cancelled- although to be honest I'm only bringing it up because of the association with Raising Hope, which I'm only mentioning due to proximity. To come back to the more broad discussion, sitcoms perhaps need to 'come to an end' less than other shows as it's unusual for them to have overarching continuity-rich plots at their centre- nobody was ever really expecting Earl to make it to the end of his list, after all- although it's nice to see this thing that so many people have poured themselves in to making for so long get a proper send-off. |

There is two as it ran from 2003 to 2005 (cheers IMDB) - masofdas wrote:

You should definitely check them out both had a run of 3 seasons which isn't bad but I'd have liked them to continue a bit longer. (perhaps 3 or 4 more) |

| I was going by the dvd release of Tru Calling as the box set is the complete series and only like 24 episodes. Which I gathered was one season but guess season 1 & 2 are 12 each. |

| Finally found a reasonably-priced copy of SSX On Tour for the GameCube - £4.50 in CEX. A bit of a shame that I'm without a console that plays GameCube games for the first time since 2002, mind.
I also bought Wii Music for the princely sum of 32p on Amazon's Warehouse Deals. |

| My latest set of imports from Japan, as well as the latest game arrival. Sorry mass effect, you just got bumped down the priority chain. From the right we have the zone of the enders remix edition soundtrack, the Asuna "knights of the blood ver." figure, the day one edition of tales of xillia 2, the high grade model kit of full armor unicorn gundam in NT-D, and lastly the final ( hopefully not forever!) of the four zanmai range with the falcom field zanmai. All up I'm fairly pleased with this haul. Flicking through the contents of the kit it looks like it's going to have nice details for a high grade and won't have the stability issues of the master grade version. The figure is even better in person than the prototype pictures and as my first of them I'm pleased with the purchase. I've said enough about Xillia one to need to say anything the sequel. And lastly the soundtracks, the field zanmai is falcom arrangements so its going to be a great listen ( look out for my mediocre review in the non-nintendo music thread soon!), and as for the other one I'm looking forward to something outside my usual type of music. |

| On the bright side I was going to wrap up disgaea 4 post-game shenanigans tonight and start mass effect, at least now it won't get cut off in the middle and fall victim to that same curse that has struck many of my games when they clashed with a new anticipated game in the mail. Now when I start it I can give it the attention that it deserves.
Also I didn't know you'd played mass effect balla. |

But yeah best to give the mass effect your full attention as you'll want to play 2nd & 3rd right away of the best game ever. |

| Today I got these two, I had some old DVDs my nan picked for me from a boot sale with some games, so took to CEX got £6 credit. So decided to look at the Wii games and saw LKS and I know it was used in the music thread & a fairly popular title on here, so why not get it. Diablo III I've looked the look off for a while and after cashing £50 worth of preorders in GAME due to some being preordered else where or just decided I want have time to play, I got diablo III a different game I won't find time to play. |

| I really want to go to Japan and just go on one hell of a shopping spree (like my sister did in Queensland over the last few days).
What I brought wasn't as much.. Just some more manga that I needed for the collection (like the 72 volumes of One Piece I now own) |
