| DDLC looks like it's trying to subvert dating sims like UT subverted JRPGs, only without the subtlety. So: yes. |

| Ach, I think there's more to DDLC than that. But, I do think it's in the same vein as Undertale in that it's captured a vocal but ultimately niche audience, and I think that it won't have the lasting power of other games on the list. |

| I've not played it, I could be misjudging it. I'm sure it's done subtly. |

| You should play it or at least watch it, Balla.
Edit Was going to do a new list without collections part from the Mass Effect Trilogy but damn its hard as I think Silent Hill would drop out and so would the Telltale Collection but Life is Strange would come in but not sure what else would.
The biggest headache is Metal Gear Solid as I can make an argument for nearly all of them being in the Top 10:
MGS - back in 1999 this was one of the first more in-depth games I played and set my gaming tastes going forward.
MGS 2 - I never had an issue with Raiden like most that, I thought it was excellent and is the game that made get a PS2.
MGS 3 - possibly the best in series from a game perspective and that end boss (not the end but as the fight with the boss at the end) along with that soundtrack.
MGS 4 - likely the worst for gameplay but as an MGS fan it just pure fanservice and Kojima which makes it brilliant, also got a PS3 for this.
MGS V - it is the best gameplay in the series but it wasn't really finished and ending we did get I got as an MGS fan.
Do I go for MGSV as its the best to play but the worst story or MGS4 as it has the best story but is the worst to play or is MGS3 the save bet as its great in all departments?
I may come back to this and do like a Top 50 or 100 no order and games from more than one series can be on it.

| So my top ten is going to remain unchanged - but in what may be a Jaydertale moment, or may not, Celeste would come in at number 11. |

| Celeste sounds the bollocks. For me, nothings different, but before I posted my top 25 a couple of weeks ago, I'd considered a few other games. One was Bayonetta, which I'm now playing again on Switch...and thinking maybe not. It's absolutely class, but maybe not as classic as I thought. Another was Burnout Paradise - that remaster that's coming out in a few weeks should be a belter. |

My rule of thumb is a game should be unranked until six months have passed from me playing it. Or, as it will be henceforth known as, the Undertale rule. |

| Right, I know you've all been waiting for this so here you go:
1. Mass Effect 2 2. Witcher 3 3. RDR 4. Yakuza 0 (This was probably the toughest one, serious battle between 0 & 5, hopefully 6 will make it all clearer) 5. Path of Radiance 6. Overwatch 7. Ghost Trick 8. AA: T&T 9. Catherine 10. Twilight Princess 11. Mario Galaxy 2 12. MH4U 13. Arkham City 14. Bayonetta 15. Vanquish 16. Might & Magic Clash of Heroes 17. GTA V 18. Uncharted 2 (Thought about 4 instead, but as I have only played it once I went for 2, it might change in the future) 19. Persona 5 20. Dark Souls (Did think about 3, I think I enjoyed the gameplay more but 1 is a better package, hopefully HD will solidify this) 21. Paper Mario TTYD 22. Pikmin 3 23. Chrono Trigger 24. LTTP 25. Tetris Party |

| That's a great list from Andy and I would very much enjoy it, the only thing I can see wrong is it's just Mass Effect 2 and not the trilogy which like I said many a time to me is just one game but I did start with the first not sure if you did Andy.
I did have a go whilst in bed doing a Top 100 in no order but I had nearly 200 games on it before cuts and I'm sure I missed stuff on PSN, XBLA etc |

| It's one of the few DS games I haven't traded in. Loved that game... in fact, what is this forum trope that The Crumpster has poor taste in games all about?! |

Sure but I do think Mass Effect Trilogy is a completely different kettle of fish then let's say the Metal Gear Collection, as you're using that same character you made in ME1 all the way through using the same save right to the end of ME3. That to me, it's one complete experience (how it was talked about by Bioware as well) due to that is why something like the Wii U version of 3 and when ME2 came to PS3 before ME1 will never be quite the same with the comic books instead. Very much like a Life is Strange or something to me, you need to play the whole thing as one complete experience not just Episode 4&5. |

It's not that the games he likes are bad, its that the games he doesn't like are good! |

- What's in it will change places, but I don't think my top ten would be different from what I stuck up on here three years ago. Crazy Taxi isn't moving, ever, but the rest could switch about. My top twenty-five would likely be very different though, with stuff like Super Mario Odyssey, Sonic Mania and Breath of the Wild surely be in for a shout.
Edit: bollocks to it, I gave it a go:
1. Crazy Taxi 2. Banjo-Kazooie 3. F-Zero X 4. Super Mario 64 5. Super Mario Galaxy 6. Animal Crossing: New Leaf 7. Wii Sports 8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 9. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U 10. Super Mario Odyssey 11. Hogs of War 12. Bishi Bashi Special 13. Mario Kart 64 14. Super Monkey Ball 15. OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast 16. Sonic Mania 17. WarioWare Inc: Minigame Mania 18. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 19. WWF No Mercy 20. Sonic 3 & Knuckles 21. NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams 22. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 23. Klonoa: Door to Phantomile 24. Kirby’s Epic Yarn 25. Ridge Racer Type 4 That's probably the best list in terms of similar tastes. While there are differences between "best games" and "replayable games", I think they should be games that you can revisit, which tends to lean more towards the latter. I'll have a stab at a 25: 1. Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (PS2, PSP, PC) 2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii) 3. Resident Evil 4 (GC, Wii, PS2) 4. Advance Wars (GBA) 5. Crazy Taxi (DC, PS2, GC) 6. Donkey Kong '94 (GB) 7. Some form of PES 8. Virtua Tennis 3 (360, PS3) 9. Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2, XB) 10. Super Metroid (SNES) 11. Shenmue (DC) 12. Ninja Gaiden (XB) 13. Streets of Rage (MD) 14. Super Mario 64 (N64) 15. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GC, Wii, Wii-U) 16. Bayonetta (360, PS3, Wii-U, Switch, PC) 17. Super Monkey Ball (GC) 18. Jet Set Radio Future (XB) 19. Pikmin 2 (GC, Wii) 20. Timesplitters 2 (PS2, GC, XB) 21. Mario Kart 8 (Wii-U, Switch) 22. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64, 3DS) 23. Mario Golf: Advance Tour (GBA) 24. Rayman Legends (Wii-U, PS4, XBO, Switch) 25. Metroid Prime (GC, Wii)

I always liked OutRun 2019 myself, I can't remember if I own it or not. |

| Outrun 2 is the best arcade racer ever. More satisfying to control than Daytona USA and a better overall package than SEGA Rally, it's best experienced in the arcade where you can slam your foot on the brake to initiate the ridiculous drifts. When it was ported to Xbox, it was already a gorgeous game but they also threw in extra modes and online play. Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast is a deluxe version of Outrun 2 (including extra levels/cars from the arcade release of Outrun 2SP - a variation of the original). Coast 2 Coast is still great fun to play and is a game that captures everything SEGA stands for - tight gameplay mechanics, vibrant visuals, memorable music and a level of addictiveness to keep you coming back to beat that high score. There was Outrun Online on 360/PS3 that was similar but was unfortunately removed when the Ferrari license expired. |

| Everything that gjones said! OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast's atmosphere is standout - it's just so happy and warm and sunny, I absolutely adore it. It's a 10/10 game, it's so perfectly put together. I don't understand why it wouldn't be a game for everybody...! |
