SEGA have done something good for once Valkyria Chronicles is getting a HD version on PS4, it already looked lovely but the big news and why this is here and not the remaster, remake thread is that there doing a new one in the series which looks epic.

The Big News well to me is that Sony has confirmed that PS2 Classics to the PS4 via emulation and from we can gather after the Digital Foundry article on the Star Wras PS2 games is that they will better and have trophies with things like Dark Chronicle been rated by PEGI.

That a announcement at PSX going here's all these PS2 game you can play now after this event, has to be a sure bet.

So anything you want to play or will replay maybe just for those trophies.

Ooh, PS2 games with trophies? I guess all the PS2 games which were re-released on PS3 like Jak will get their trophies ported over. Wouldn't mind playing Dark Cloud with some trophies, actually.

And I here I was thinking you posted about DOAX3 and the whole not coming to the west because of SJW then Play Asia stocking it and even Koei saying buy the Asia version which has multiple languages on it from them.

Which so called game journalists have been tweeting them that they shouldn't be selling it or even supporting the game.

And Play Asia likely sell worse games and Marvellous have been promoting Senran Kagura Versus because of no DOA3X, yet no one seems to be giving them stick.

If someone wants the game it should be up to them, no one else. I may import it now one just for the #Bantz and VR.

Tecmo have pulled DOAX3's western release because it is insensitive, exploitative, outdated trash. In 2015, shelves shouldn't be lined with products that tell girls they are things for boys to look at and tell boys that girls are prizes to be won. That is not, by any reasonable definition of the word, censorship. For Play Asia to then decide to deliberately make a big deal of bringing this game over and advertising it is disgusting and unpleasant.

If people want to look at naked people, that's their prerogative and I wish them all the best. There's loads of lovely porn for whatever flavour you fancy. Have a tug or a strum, get it out of your system. My point was marvellous are promoting a game just as bad from this, yet no one bats a eyelid. People import games more than likely far worse than DOA3X from Japan and likes of the Senran game I reviewed have become very popular in the west.

On Play Asia there business and import almost of there games to the UK, this is no different part from capitalising on a business opportunity.

That to me people should be able to do what they want, if they want to ogle Kasumi then should be able to do that.

Same with XCX if you want to make your female character have big assets then you should be able to do.

If that's what someone likes, then I've got no problem with it.

They deliberately put out a tweet calling it "SJW nonsense" and advertising their deliberate opposition of the decision not to release the game on moral grounds. They are making a calculated choice to oppose progression and appease misogynists.

I addressed this just now but rather than make a counterpoint you've just repeated yourself so I guess I'll do the same.
These games very existence is about treating women as eye candy and reward, and they reinforce the idea that women exist for the pleasure of men. The creators know and exploit this and the players either understand and are dick heads or are being taken in and allowed to go on being sexist without having their worldview challenged. Either scenario is harmful.

While I agree that in a character creation tool all body types should be catered for, XCX didn't allow for overweight or different figured women: it allowed for slim women designed with a male gaze in mind to have boobs that suited a man's preference. It was, again, reducing women to eye candy and reinforcing harmful mindsets in male and female players
This is especially problematic as the RPG is one of the most played genres for women.

Again, as I said and you ignored: I have no problem with anyone ogling pretty people. However, an industry built on treating women as eye candy is harmful and if a desire to constantly be surrounded by nude women separate from sexual urges doesn't make you question yourself, that's a problem.

You make good points, also didn't the director of the game put on Facebook about SJW as well and Tecmo have promoted Play Asia as well that they can't be that bothered about moral grounds as they still want people to buy there game in some form.

There is one solution to this and any other medium like this, is that you put it somewhere else. You don't walk into HMV and the porn section is in front of you, or go into WHSmith's and have nuts just there.

No there covered up (some better then others), put a 18+ or AO on it in American, if that's what it needs to have.

But people that do want it, should be allowed to buy it if they wish.

That's part of a solution. The problem for me is I don't really think it is analogous to porn, more something like Page 3 or shoehorning a topless scene into an action film.

Well as the whole game is about the girls that it's closer to the porn then something being shoehorned in like the sex scenes in God of War of a character who meant to be saving his family.

On stuff like this game, Shuhei has said that VR games may need different age ratings due to various content which maybe more intense because of VR. DOA3X surely would cover that.

There not really but I was thinking of the most similar thing in other media.

What's happened just in case there is any confusion. On Tecmo's Facebook page the director or whatever said the game wouldn't be coming out in the west due to fears overs SJW & backlash.

Then Play Asia knowing this started to promote the game on twitter like you say which even Tecmo promoted as well

I played the first one and mainly played the Casino lol

Oh, it was just that I didn't appreciate the reason it wasn't brought to the US and UK was because of sexism. Doesn't really change what I said, I don't disagree with the governments in hand.
