| This could go in either the Jim or Yahtzee threads, but because this one was last bumped more recently: Jim and Yahtzee engage in friendly competition and fat jokes. |

| This Weeks, I did see some tweets about this from him about the PS4 in response to a xbox one centred video
Such as Angry that I don't put an equal amount of criticism on the PS4 so it's "fair"? My show isn't an American school. But for reals, finding an "equal" amount of criticism for every console is NOT "unbiased". It's fearful, and should not be encouraged. Games media is afraid to be "imbalanced" in criticism for fear of looking "biased," which leads to zero criticism happening.

He is right, on all those fronts. It is weird that we end up with a culture of being strongly attached to one piece of hardware over another. The games fanbase is one step away from becoming boring car people. (Not that I'm saying I'm any better - I still get arsey when people moan about Nintendo - but I know I should know better) |

Hilariously, less than an hour after this, EA announced that the Madden demo would be exclusive to subscribers, kinda proving his point. |

| Disagree strongly. As someone who frequents a multiformat forum, I've read enough on 1080p and 60fps for it to bore me virtually to death. |

| Why do you disagree, it's the ubisoft are twats bit that I very much agree with.
I don't go on other forums especially multi-format as most people on there are idiots. |

| Jim Sterling with another Ubi-bash episode (plus Sonic Boom as a guest appearance.)

Oh, and Jim has gone fully independent now and is no longer part of The Escapist, hence the YT link. |

| Now isn't that an interesting turn of events. I wonder if he'll still be involved with the Escapist at all, for things like Uncivil War. |

| Interesting also down with ubisoft, only the following things I will buy of there's now Child of Light 2 or similar, Rayman Ubiart engine game and Beyond Good & Evil 2 with all kind unlikeable. |

| Interesting, what he says about less need for innovations, and holding Nintendo up as shining examples. I completely agree, mind: I'm definitely in favour of the "refining over revolution" approach, unless that revolution is going to be absolutely brilliant. |

| He's gone and done a podcast! It's quite interesting, although less funny than I expected it to be, and a bit unpolished (but it is episode 1). The podcast members are two Brits and an Irishman: no American "humour"! (Although some quite puerile humour as well.) And apart from a lot of Nintendo love ( ), guess what he does this episode! Although the other members argue with him, which is good. There's a lot of Jim Sterling, though, so I wouldn't recommend it to Drunka. |

| Eh, nothing special. Game developer is criticised, game developer is an asshat. Happens all the time, and we've already seen the first half of that video. Also, could you have found a less tractable version of that link, Axis? |

| This is one of the reasons I prefer Indies over Triple-A
I do like DLC but needs to be something that adds to a core game like Mario Kart's. |

| Jim weighs in on the Nintendo/YouTube debacle.
Unsurprisingly as a YouTuber sort himself, he thinks it's a terrible idea. He more or less mirrors what was said by the anti-affiliate scheme camp in our thread on the matter, but it's worth a watch anyway. |

| Just my worthless two cents opinion on Jim; I have accidentally read a few of his articles over the years and found him to be utterly obnoxious in every conceivable way. I won't waste a single moment of my time reading or listening to him. To be fair though, I have never listened to a game podcast and am unlikely to ever do so. I also only ever glance over news articles about games, just to keep up with important stuff. Gaming 'journalists' in general are pathetic and I don't wish to wade through them to find a credible one. |
