Cats: more trouble than they're worth? (Almost certainly.)

So I'm going through my huge backlog of Nintendo Stars and putting 'em onto the site. I've just claimed that I bought Nintendo Land over a year ago.  

I still have to do that myself but I keep getting annoyed in doing it so I give up, plus for some stupid reason after I do one it claims that I'm still doing it and can't do anymore until the first is done..

Someone hasn't been following the "What's new" thread!  

I've built up a fair few but I'm always scared to put them on after they expired once so I'm waiting for something I really want.

I really do wish the Aus club would have something cool instead of notepads, sticky notes, shoelaces and other crap, I've nearly hit 10000 stars as it is

Australian politics "comic". I really really wish the voting reform had gone through in the UK.

As soon as our election is over the better. I have a slight idea who I will vote for and it is as simple as if anyone sides with the greens I'll vote for the other people

We don't share a view on that then, as I consider the environment far more important than any economic matters, as with no environment, there is no economics. However, I am not voting Green, which I do most of the time, rather, I have to go with Labor as I despise Tonty Abbott and his Tory politics. He thinks it is more important to give rich woman highly paid maternity leave than it is to give poorer parents money to help out with school costs. That is only one of the many reasons I despise him, including giving us a much crappier version of fast internet and giving rich companies big tax breaks.

But, to each his own, that is why we have a democracy.

I'm sure it wasn't personal.

I'm another "environment first" voter. That tends to ally me with parties that use taxes to pay for environmental subsidies, i.e. lefty parties. But if we had the Australian system, I'd be all over the Green Party. It's not like they'll ever get elected to national government anyway.

My sister would disagree, he had been working at the chip mill for like 30 odd years and that and because or state gov got into bed with them and saved more trees and some other crap they did all the mills got closed down.

Although it is fun messing with the greenies as well

I would vote for whichever party agrees to replace all the fleshies with strong, metallic robot leadership.

I disagree, respectfully, but it iss the economy that put your dad out of work. The market has changed and competition from other countries made the market unviable. His job was only there for the last part because of tax breaks - subsidising the industry. The Greens are just an easy scapegoat, as they have been protesting for years and years, with only limited success. I do empathise with him losing a long held job, but it happens to many people in many industries. I hope he has managed to find some kind of employment.

Nope- the rules were that it could happen when the serving government decided to call one, so long as it was no sooner than X amount of time after the last one and not too long after- in practive, every four years-ish. As of the next one, it's fixed at every five years.

Just googled it's May 2015 in the UK last one was in 2010, I knew it was quite a while ago.

In other news, Jay has finally overtaken Stu in the post count stakes!

(I wasn't even aware... I have no social life, evidently)
