| Continuing the Balladeer tradition of duff subtitles. Sequel to Power Paintbrush on the DS, which is one of my favourite Kirby games after KEY. Features an arts and crafts visual style. The reason I'm creating this thread is more or less to give Mr. Hissyfit an outing. This game is due in the States on the 13th February (and Japan on the 22nd January), yet Europe doesn't get it until the second half of 2015. I'm sure that the huge amount of difficult dialogue translation is the reason, rather than anything more cynical. Yes indeed, this 2D Kirby platformer will make Les Miserables look like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Nintendo want to get the reams of text absolutely bang on. Wouldn't want the psychological trauma of being a clay ball travelling on rainbows to be lost in translation! |

| I don't really mind if Nintendo fills the first half over here with some good Wii U games and the delay gives us something to look forward to in the second half. |

| The delay of Captain Toad must have had a knock-on effect. As a 2D platformer from the quirky Kirby side of the stable, it ranks highly on my watch list. I've never played the DS original - when will be getting those games on our Wii U's again? - but it looks like the kind of super sweet experiment that Kirbs does so well.

| So this is has been pretty much confirmed to be another budget title like Captain Toad is.
It's cool Nintendo seem to have three types of games now downloads like Dr Luigi, Nes Remix at around a tenner, then stuff that is bigger then them at £29.99 with Toad & now Kirby along side full price titles that are meant to be £49.99 (and likely that in GAME). |

| I hope that won't have repercussions on the length of the game. |

| It might do but then they'll say you'll only paid £30 and should expect something really long.
Toad is what 70 levels (+ bonus but not sure how many of them there are) at about 3 minutes each making the game 210mins / 3 1/2 hours long but if that's a great 3 1/2 hours & worth the £30 due to it's high polish as well then who cares if it seems short.
Same with kirby if it's 4 hours long but is quality content then I'm good with that.

| I really enjoyed what I played of this at EGX: it's Canvas Curse but with new ideas afforded by the more powerful hardware and larger screen.
Not too pleased that Europe gets this in July at the earliest (it's stated for "second half of 2015"), but Japan and North America have it by the end of February.
If there's as much content as Canvas Curse I won't be complaining. |

| You're never playing a Kirby game for very long anyway, so any kind of reduction in length would hamper the game. Still, as long as it's fun... |

| This will be compatible with a three amiibo, can you guess which three.
Not sure what they do as it's shown about 2 seconds in a Japanese trailer but seemed to give Kirby meta knight powers. |

| Nintendo Life gave it 7/10. Lop off a few points for their habitual overenthusiasm, and we're looking at 5-6/10. A little bit disappointing, especially given that they do the whole "recycled boss thing" that I loathe so much.

A Good Thing. It's the main reason I read Nintendo Life and more or less ignore everything else. |

| This was never likely to be a day one, full price buy for me anyway so the review score doesn't in any way change my feelings towards it. I'll buy it for around £20 and be very happy with it. |

| May 8th this is coming out, isn't that also when Splatoon is coming out.
Nintendo spread your games out please also Code Name: Steam is out then and you would think nearly all Wii U owners own a 3DS. |

| That means one of two things. Either a), some of the relevant release dates are being changed, or b), the release of Majora's Mask 3D and MH4U on the same day worked very well. My money's on the former. |

| Yeah but I will want Kirby, Splat and Code why didn't they bring out Kirby here in Feb or April. So Jan we had Toad, Feb Kirby, March Mario Party 10, Or Kirby in April instead, May Splatoon.
It just seems so daft to me as we will go a while again with nothing after May. |

| I know Nintendo are basically holding down the Wii-U on their lonesome, but one game a month would be more than enough. Agree with mas, the huge gaps between Donkey Kong and Mario Kart last year, and then Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors, was painful (a good 3 months each).
At this rate Nintendo will be have more games coming out in the summer, which is traditionally a time people play less games. |

| I've always thought that was nonsense. I play just as many games in summer as in spring. Nice to finally have a date for this, at any rate. Still a good three months behind the US, mind. |

| Only enough copies given to my local GAME to fulfil pre-orders. There are two more nearby stores to check... I'd like to be playing this soon, guys! |

| I preordered mine with Simply Games but when I went GAME last as they know I like Nintendo want to know if I wanted to order as they were only getting orders in, same happened with Toad. Which they had to send people away on launch as they has only 2 come in which were both orders. |

| Really enjoying this so far. That said, it's a bit of a sin that a game that looks this stunning in motion is more or less confined to a 6.2 inch screen. I've not looked at the TV screen once. |

| Had to pass on this in favour of Splatoon (blame Nintendo releasing 5 games in the space of a month), but I really like the look of this based on my Miiverse lurking. There's a section of game with three statues, and one of them was missing a clay eye. That's the sort of thing that you only pull off with clay, and it's charming.
Has anyone played Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush lately? It's been 10 years for me, so it's not really fresh in my mind, and I'd really like to know whether claims about it being distinctly less shallow than its predecessor are true. I really liked some of the more intricate puzzles in the DS game, but if HAL have made up for losing those with other things then I can't say I'd be that disappointed. |
