I've got a faint idea thanks to TCK, but other than that I'm not too sure what to expect from this one. How long before I smoosh my 3DS into a pâté?

How are you getting on with this?

I reached the credits, but only after completing ten stages. I know there's more, but I don't really have the will to go through them all. I don't like this all that much; it's challenging without really being rewarding at all. For me, the lackluster music and bland visuals would have been more forgivable if it was out on the N64 in 1997. The price is absurd too - think of what else you can get for £20 these days. It's unique and I don't really regret trying it, but aye, it seems destined to split opinions.

Yeah, I think it being an opinion splitter is a good way to put it. It's a well designed game, but probably not for everyone. I get a lot out of it, but only because this sort of challenging platformer with a lot to master appeals a lot to me. I have seen a couple of examples of ridiculously tough level design, like the secret exit to stage 24, and stage 33, which has meant my progress has grinded to a halt. I don't have the patience to deal with that anymore.

I really like it though, just wish it had old style 2D visuals instead.

At this stage I'm not very far in, but honestly I'm having difficulty taking it seriously because of the hideous visuals. This isn't a complaint you'll hear me come out with often, but it doesn't help that I'm playing it in tandem with Shovel Knight.

I'll stick with it as a toilet game at the very least, though. Might get another hour or so with it tonight.
