Nice to see you pop your head in,
Can't wait to see the N64 list as could be some conversely if titles are missing but will be none of this remaster or port or multiformat stuff like with the Wii U.

Thanks again though peeps, got a 30 best Nintendo 64 games article coming in November so I'm sure that definitely won't cause big arguments when I don't put Pokemon Snap in there.
Don't talk about the N64 you'll set Crumpy Andy off. Otherwise for me it's a case of......

Great to see you here from time to time Chris! (It's more than Castle does. ) Also: I didn't think Snap was all that. (runs)

You asked for it!
6. Paper Mario 7. Paper Mario 8. Paper Mario 9. Paper Mario 10. Paper Mario
Fun fact: I always seem to type Matio instead of Mario.

N64 list should be great as their is so many classics on it with more then just Paper Mario holding up to day.

Matio might be a Mario ratio. Or something.
And I agree with mas: this should be another cracking list (Gromit ).

Really if we were do something like the Cube list in the retro thread, N64 would be a great one to do.

Not to take away from Chris Scullion's list, but while he's off making his top thirty N64 games I decided to have a wee bit of fun of my own with the idea. So, that's what I did before the weekend: I quickly rifled through my collection, went off of a gut instinct and picked my thirty favourite N64 games. In no particualr order, here's what I ended up with (as presented in true masofdas on-the-bedsheets style):
Spoiler:
" /> *Please pretend that Carmageddon 64 is really Paper Mario **Please pretend that Virtual Chess 64 is really Sin & Punishment
What do youse make of that? Some of those picked themselves - Banjo-Kazooie, F-Zero X, OoT, the staples - but others needed a wee bit more thought. All in all though, they're all games that I really, really enjoy. Personally, I still find most of those games to be really playable - honestly, it's only Goldeneye 007 and maybe Snowboard Kids that are there for any sort of nostalgia.
On a side note, here's the other games I considered, but decided to leave out of that top thirty:
Spoiler:
Any thoughts? Is that great or really great?

I'm going for 'really great', Cappa. There's no way I could do any single format Top 30 like that. Furthermore I've played fewer than half of the games in your Top 30, and only seven of your twenty also-rans.
Dude, you got bare games.

Yeah, right, you just changed your "opinion" after the photo was taken to get more credibility
But srs, that's a great collection of games, and goes to show, with the "not quite in the list" list, what a neat variety of stuff there was on the N64.

I definitely don't, I'm struggling under the weight of all the podcasts I listen to. But Scullion, doing a podcast, with no Souls mentions (especially after Podquisition's 2016 Souls Love-In of which I skipped half)? Going to have to make listening time for that!

I don't care how annoying people who like Dark Souls are: there's no way we're as tedious as people repeating jokes about us going on about Dark Souls. If it's just that one tweet, that's one thing, but Scullo makes it a running theme I don't think I'd be able to listen. How many times are Mario, Zelda or COD mentioned in games discussion?

I'm all podcasted out at the moment, but I do prefer Chris' writing to his talking. It feels like everybody has a podcast these days and I'm not really sure what Tired Old Hack would offer in audio form that it doesn't already provide in text/images. He's got so many unfinished series on the website (Gemhunter and Top 30 lists come to mind) that I feel he's spreading himself a bit thin taking on another "series", one that requires regularity.

A podcast is a bit more fun and chilled to record though: I think it'll help him get little bits of his creativity out without him having to use up writing energy. Fingers crossed.

I think he was struggling with writing for a bit as well, so think this'll allow more content rather than replacing. I'm much better at listening to things than reading/watching, so it's all good to me!
